Anybody know who fabricates or can supply TPS kit for Keihin FCR41's racked installation? COSENTINO ENGINEERING used to fabricate a kit, however they no longer do I am led to believe.:Arghh:
Try 'Frank mx parts' in Holland; Frank! MXParts - MX parts and Keihin FCR racing carburetor service point. Rebuilds and ultrasonic cleaning services. Dealer of Keihin FCR / CR special / PWK / etc. and Mikuni RS / TMR / TDM / TDMR / HSR etc. carburetors and parts. sorted me out with a TPS, replacement (longer) throttle shaft etc.
find a vendor who does the FCR's and then ask for spares for the yamaha TDM fitment carbs. They have the TPS on them so you should be able to pick through the parts list and order what you want. TPS part number: 021-561 021-560 Sudco - Keihin FCR Downdraft Diagram
you could buy this and modify it: KX250 Kawasaki 2000 KX 250 00 Carburetor Keihin Throttle Position Sensor TPS | eBay
A question for the boffins please wrt the TPS sensor connected to the Ignitech unit. With the TPS sensor attached to the throttle shaft, what is the resistance the Ignitech unit is looking for in the in the closed throttle position, and fully open throttle position.? My understanding: Closed 0 Ohms- Open 5KOhms Or, does it not matter? Thanks K
Thanks Liam, FastBikeGear Throttle closed should read close to 0 volt Throttle open should read close to 5 volt from the ignitech unit. In the ignitech software one can set the closed/ open positions when selecting TPS on.
