What an excellent day/ride. Everything went right for a change - 851 starting to 'fit like an old glove'
I was late walking into an important meeting today. "Sorry, boss," I said, quickly sitting down. I put my briefcase and a doner kebab on the table and said, "Right, carry on." My boss looked at our important clients, then he looked at me and said, "What's with the doner kebab, Ron?" "Just some salad and a bit of chilli sauce."
Sorry Scrambler fans... Saw a yellow Scrambler in the flesh, in daylight in London today so had a bloody good look at it. At the same time there was a V7 Classic parked up where I was working, so the comparison was set. In comparison to the Guzzi the Ducati just looks cheap, like a chinese bike. (Don't be offended if you've bought one, this is only my opinion). I'm sure the build quality is fine, but it just looks so basic and built-down-to-a-price. I was much less impressed than I hoped to be. The Guzzi is the polar opposite, looking like a much more expensive bike. Different styles of course, but put the bikes side by side and the Scrambler wouldn't warrant a single glance. Shame they forgot to give the V7 some BHP's really.
Agree. Saw a cream V7 the other day with a leather tank strap. It looked timeless. Everywhere you looked were classy little touches. Lovely looking thing. If there was a 1000cc air-cooled version with 100 bhp I'd have one.
The V7 has caught my eye from time to time. I've seen them look lovely and also look awful, depending on colour scheme and styling differences between the various models.
Believe me, I've written to Moto Guzzi in the UK and Italy trying to get a bigger version in their minds. The 950 Bellagio lump would be perfect. But they just don't seem interested.
Naff all,as usual for the last five months......due to chemotherapy,I did not give in to daytime TV  of which I feel so proud!!Caught up on loads of reading, and now I've found you lot!
I voted. Tactically. I say tactically, I employed poor tactics and just voted for whom I liked. Coincidentally, they were all female candidates. Thank me later, Elise. Didn't have to spoil any of the ballot papers after all, as I had options in each election
No idea, mate! I just figure, with female politicians ... in the end, you can just tell them to get back in the kitchen and put the tea on. You know, if they get uppity. :Oldman: I agree. GSW Jen! Sorry, I mean GWS (not a gunshot wound ) My fingers will be crossed too. To hell with typing accurately or being able to tie my own shoelaces!
LOL! Cheers Loz.......although at one point a gunshot could've been an option!!!! I'm still planning on getting on the bike this year no matter what!!
Been and voted though it's time the females ran this country I know of someone who spoilt his vote putting no one good enough to vote for or words to that affect
