Ducati Wolves Horrible Bunch

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Sharky67, May 5, 2015.

  1. Think you may have hit the nail on the head. I got the impression that JHP did not think that the cost should matter to Ducati owners - hence my negative comment regarding a proper quote and price. Maybe they think that Ducati owners are all wealthy - sadly not true in my case!

  2. I bought my bike from Wolves and I will never step foot or roll a wheel into that place EVER again! The service I received when buying the bike was awful, they showed no interest what so ever, whether it was down to my age or something else I don't know.

Then there was a safety issue with the bike that they refused to rectify and it took a good month to eventually get it resolved in my favour, as I didn't give up on it. It just caused me so much hassle and Tony and Dawn (Dawn especially, very difficult and nasty woman to deal with) were dreadful to deal with, ignoring phone messages, no call backs, ignoring emails, they do not operate as a professional garage should in my opinion, the customer service is abysmal!!

JHP on the other hand nothing is ever too much trouble they will do their best to squeeze your bike in to take a look. Got my misting dash done there under warranty after Tony from Wolves said Ducati weren't replacing them any more under warranty and that JHP were talking rubbish.

My recommendation would be to avoid at all costs.

  3. Well I can tell you Ducati Coventry have given my older bike as much attention as a desmosedici owner gets or someone with mega bucks upgrading the latest Superleggy and im most definitely on a restricted budget.Don't see how they can give you a exact quote as it all depends on what they find on opening it up.

As for Tony at Wolves he has done me a few good favours in the past and I got some as new used parts from them for a bargain compared to shelling out for new.Cant remember what part it was I was after but phoned round a few official ducati dealers and for some reason ducati wolves was the best price.Thought they would all be the same for parts.

  4. Sadly that is most definitely not the case. A chap I work with had his 996 fail the MoT because he had a continental headlight fitted. He had two quotes for a replacement headlight glass and one authorised dealer was asking for £100 more than the rrp. Andy

  5. After reading some strong comment's would it not be better to contact Ducati to let them know the problems or is that not the done thing and I'm sure Wolves will read this thread.

If you contact Ducati would it be UK or Italy?

  6. Just going to add my 2p's worth here. I'm shure that DucWolves do read here, because Barry (Sales guy) is a member here. I have only bought one bike from them, my first 1098s. Strictly speaking though it wasn't from DucWolves themselves, it was Barry's own bike. To me Barry has always been very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I have met and spoken to Tony and to be honest, i find him ok to talk to but not very convincing and not someone that i would trust. Because of that, any work that i have had done on my bike has been by Richard at Luigi Moto in Bristol.
The majority view on DucWolves on here isn't limited just to this forum, the same view was prominent on a now defunct Ducati forum as well. So, i can't say i have ever had a bad experience with DucWolves. But because of a long history of bad service there, i have never put myself in a position to get that bad experience.

  7. bad dealers should have new bikes taken off them, given to be, and then they should be flogged.
    A lot.

  8. Think the fellas point was 'no expense spared' approach to ownership didnt appeal, and impression he got was JHP was like that. They will happily spend hours livngly rebuolding any. Otor I'm sure and are fery good at it too

  9. Just Had Pants pulled down.

I make a 330+mile, 3+Hr round trip for Nelly at Cornerspeed to service my FE. Then another round trip to collect it when ready.

  12. Taking the 848 for a service tomorrow - rang today to ask if they could fit a tracker at the same time but there's not enough time apparently. Also due to take out their 1299 demonstrator and of course it's going to pour down. I wonder if I'll still get to take it out? And how long does a tracker take to fit if the fairings are off anyway?

  13. Used to buy my spares from JHP, until I was quoted an absolutely stupid amount for flashing an ecu with a stock programe.
They clearly knew I was was stuck! I wont tell how much the quote was, but it wasn't far off a full day at CJS!
Learned to do it myself and never went back.

  14. From my experience Ducati UK wouldn't take any notice of any complaints about Ducati Wolves as they seem to be 1 of there better dealers, who pass all the necessary audits with flying colours from what I'm told. It would just fall on deaf ears, but no harm in trying. However you'll need the bit between your teeth and you'll have to keep badgering DUK until they get off their Lazy arses tbh.

  15. The same Ducati UK who apparently didn't realise that Desmoquattro rockers might be prone to flaking, I wouldn't bother...

  16. dropped my bike off at JHP ... Boombastic service . They made me a cup of tea .. Took my bike in and gave me a very competitive price for a service ... I'm a happy chappy .. The owner is a nice guy and the service guy seemed quite nice aswell .. Their pricing structure is fluid I agree .. I suppose if you go in and ask them for a discount they give it with no quarms.. Thanks all

  19. Thankfully OYB is close to me..
Just bought a bike from them and the whole experience was was fantastic..a real pleasure to deal with!
Highly recommended if you are close enough to use them:upyeah:

  20. I only live 15 mins from Ducati Wolves (which clearly it isn't, but I suppose Ducati Pensnett doesn't sound as good). I've used em a few times, however, last time I thought they were taking the pi** so now I kindly use good old Nelly who collects/services/returns the old girl. Surely the fact I will pay someone to collect the bike instead of riding it 15 min up the road speaks volumes.
