I'm starting to get right annoyed with the lack of info on my DVT delivery. Keep getting 'May mate. We have 12 due for delivery but no sign of them' If I don't get news soon I'll be walking to the BMW dealer!!
Nope. But I rode both and I went for the mutley as coming from an RSV4 it would suite my riding better. To be fair the BMW was a good ride just without any 'pow'! And with free sat nav it's got a lot of kit for less dosh. I could keep the Ape if I got the BMW.
Yea but the BMW sat nav only goes on the BMW. Just get a better aftermarket sat nav which will go on any bike forever more. Plus I don't know who ur dealing with but to get the same spec BMW for less money was not doable wen I was shopping. Not being an arse just I think whoever you buy a new bike from you will have a wait on ur hands. Sure it'll be the same for any new RX owner. Be patient bud I know it's annoying.
It's an arse waiting for a bike , but like you say the bmw didn't have any 'pow' best to wait it out and have the pow factor .
Or keep the RSV4 for the 'pow' [emoji51] If I don't have a confirmation of delivery in May it'll be a big shame and a GS TE on the drive [emoji15]
I've done the same thing... gotten a bit tired waiting for the 1200DVT; put down a deposit on a R1200RS last week. April ETA on the 1200DVT turned into early May, then mid-May, and now to "Not sure when it'll be here, but we'll give you a call!" Whichever bike shows up first is the one that shall find a home in my garage!
Visited ducati Croydon today for an update on my dvt due next week, Christian explained he was still waiting for conformation of when the next bikes were due to leave Italy. But luckily while I ws sat there a call came in, a pre ordered in the showroom pear white s touring had just been postponed by the buyer until sept.!! Well lucky for me she's now mine, pick her next week..
Still heard nothing from On Yer Bike. They claim to have 12 on order for delivery this month. At this rate I'd best not hold my breath!!
Don't.!! I'v just ordered my base dvt and told two months which I'm happy with. If you go to BMW you will wait the same or have to take whats in the showroom which might not be what you want, that is unless your looking for an XR which you won't get for a while as launch aint till June. I've just walked away from BMW after a long relationship and 8 bikes with them. Sorry, but they are not what they used to be and break to easily these days.
One week delivery is not a factory order that from stock. The multi if from factory as no one as of yet has stocks as customers are getting their bikes first. Give it time.
Good luck trying to get arrival date. It's the same no matter where you buy from. Ducati are a victim of their own success and the knock on effect is longer delivery times.
One of those bikes will be under my bum on Wednesday. They do look good and I was surprised at the panel fit and finish....all good for a new bike from DUCATI. I will post a ride report but you know it will be good. I did 15,000 miles on the first iteration back in.....can't remember....2012 or 11? and I miss that engine. St Neots play a straight bat and it was only 3 weeks or so ago that Ducati told them about the first delivery so I have some sympathy for the dealers who are in the dark.....don't understand why they don't just say they have no info.
