1199 Quick Question....

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Bob Green, May 8, 2015.

  1. Has anybody got rearsets on their Panigale 899, 1199 or 1299?

or do you not need them...?

  2. Only you can answer if you need them, personally my feet were slipping off mine on my 1199, I've since fitted some light tech rearsets which are extremely well put together items

  3. My standard ones are fine .. Only ride in the dry :)

  4. Cheers, heard about the slippy pegs, Panigale purchase imminent not sure which one yet, swear by rearsets on my ZX10R and Blackbird cos I am a long legged fellow. How much difference do rearsets make on the bike?

  5. I'm 6ft 5 .. Fit ok .. Try standard if no good then buy a nice set ..

  6.
  7. Oberon foot pegs work well, much less slippy, about £45 I think.
I've got them in silver and they look like they came with the bike.

  8. You must be made of rubber! I'm 6ft4 and couldn't make anything of the standard set up. First thing I did was buy some adjustable rearsets. Like you say get some nice ones.

  9. Didn't need the rear sets but just went with the dp foot pegs. Seem much better but not ridden in anger since having them fitted yet

  10. I'm 5' 10" , find the standard pegs perfectly fine in all weathers with my Daytona boots (if sole material is significant). For my own part, I would ideally prefer pegs set back a little further and am contemplating some simple L-bracket pegs I've seen advertised. Rear-sets from 'names' are laughably over priced for bits of ally knocked up on a cnc lathe !

  11. Very true, but then I think you might find that most things 'Ducati' are laughably over priced but then idiots like us still buy it anyway!:Greedy:

  12. Hmmmmmmn........yes, I think I fit that catagory too. Mind you, it'd be nice if someone made these p'ss simple items for their actual real price (if that makes some kind of sense), like Aldi does for food.
