Cheered my girlfriend on this morning as she and 9 of her Momentum Kettle Bell class did the first half mile leg of a two mile fire engine pull for the Firebrigade charity. Really proud of them and the other three teams who did the whole pull including the reharnessing of each team at the changeover in well less than two hours and raised over a £1000. Andy
Rode the 999 to my sister's in Kent. Because I am sick to death of the M25, I detoured, taking the A272, A22, A26 and A21. This was nice, until I reached Royal Cocking Tunbridge Suck My Nose Wells Bastard. That place is huge, the size of Germany and took forever to ride through. Good Goat, how about a cocksucking by-pass for that pissant burg, hmm? Anyway, I spent a lovely day with my sis and her husband, who is recovering from some truly dread health issues and looks a lot better than he did a couple of weeks ago or so. Got home, had delicious pasta, broke Elise's little heart by the looks of things :Finger::Bawling::Bag: and I'm currently listening to an album by Apocalyptica. Oh and there's beer. It's all good
Started to think about putting the Öhlins on the front of the 749... tied the rear to the paddock stand, removed RH fairing, steering damper, top yoke... front mudguard... then stopped as it was half ten already and I was in my pyjamas... shall pick up the thread in the morning. Have been mulling over the small matter of lifting the front end without a crane or sturdy joists to hang the bugger from... think I'm going to go with trolley jacks under the sump and horizontal cylinder and see how that looks, should be able to take the weight on the sump but stop the bike from pivoting with the jack under the cylinder... am sure it'll all end in tears... Oh, and still haven't got the 750 running for my Dad... I am behind on that one, Super Sos' is looming!
Finished! Rides brilliantly, I honestly didn't expect to be able to feel the difference but (as the kids say) OMG. Baffles are out of the Mivvs too and they sound stellar now
I've had two hours on the 899 then came home to switch bikes and rode the Scrambler for another couple of hours. They are both cracking bikes in their own way. I'm glad I have both I've also done a bit of ironing, and done my packing for tomorrow. My client has sent me their copy of the draft contract this morning. I will look at it on the plane tomorrow. That's if I can be arsed and don't want to watch movies
Got a funny call from a woman I know. Her dad has decided to sell his prized motorcycle collection, but doesn't know who to trust to value and sell them. Can I do it? Hell Yes! If it happens, stand by for photos...
When are you going to step up and watch her do a full marathon? Well done by the way, even watching a half marathon is impressive
Funny enough london marathon next year I used to do all this fitnessbut now can't even stand for 45min without the pain It's hard work watching all these runners , but a new camera and being able to ride a motorcycle should keep me happy the wife is now cooking sunday dinner , back to normal
End of an expensive week. Last Friday rode the MV to B and C and bought a chain sprockets and Renthal carrier for the 1098. Called at Italia and bought fork oil then home. When I got there found my bag open and the contents gone. To say I was pissed is an understatement Plans for the weekend changed just change the forks seals. Trawl tinternet and Ducatimondo on eBay supplied a Jt carrier and sprockets with a sss chain £100 less than what I had lost To be honest the JT kit and SSS chain looks ten times better than the Renthal stuff. No matter what lost a quid and found a sixpence Fit the chain and sprockets today and the wife starts on about spending money and not using the bikes Next set of Rest a Days I'm off to France for a ride it's all booked
