900ss What's It Worth

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by MBosak, May 10, 2015.

  1. Hi,

I have a 1998 900ss in red with 3700km. Original one owner. I thought I'd question the experts as to what it's worth?

    Thanks Mike

  2. £500. Do you accept PayPal?

  3. What more did you expect :)...

    oh, OK, £600

  4. Are you selling ?

  5. £700 but you'll have to deliver it.

  6. You'd be better putting up some pics before expecting blind guestimates - who knows, someone might want to buy it?

  7. My sensible guess would be £3500 if a dealer was selling, £2500 to £3000 private possible.
I guess it's an import which could diminish the value a little. Also dependant on history. A lot of low mileage bikes can't prove the history if they haven't been MOT'd every year. Pre import history is often scarce too.
Not yet collectable but soon will be and low mileage will command more if backed up in the paperwork.

  8. Thanks to everyone who replied. It was imported from new. I have the original purchase receipt and MOT's for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007. It's sat unused since last MOT. Original Datatag and all keys. I need to decide what to keep this or my 748. I'll post some photos later thanks.

  9. Yes it's for sale. I'm open to offers. I'll add some photos.

  10. Hello,
Here are some photos of the bike. Its been sat in a garage since 2008.
I drained the old fuel from fuel tank and carbs.
I removed the belt covers to check condition and they are as new.
Fitted new plugs. She fired up.
I then changed to oil and filter.
I have not tarter her up as I thought it best to show her to someone as she was found.
While getting access to the carbs it's obvious that the bolts had never been removed, unmarked.
This is an original, low mileage bike.
Please see the pictures below. Thanks for looking.

  11. On the basis that anything that's not clearly crashed is fetching over £2K and tidy ones from dealers and private don't seem to last long on ebay or auto trader, I'd say an example as clean as that, private is worth over £3k - as long as the frame finish is as still good as the rest of the bike looks..

  12. Huh.. wash your mouth out - they are too

  13. 6 year old belts ! even if they do look like new !!

Apart from that it does look very tidy :upyeah:

  14. Shhhhhh shush :Finger:
