It's been short but very sweet, there's no doubt the 848 is possibly the sexiest bike I will ever own, I've done 400 miles since Feb and enjoyed everyone however I've decided to move on. I miss the scream of the IL4, I thought I was converted for a while but a ride out with some friends last weekend made my mind up. I feel honoured to have owned and enjoyed such a striking bike but I just don't enjoy it as much as I did at first. I spotted a ltd edition yoshi gixxer 750 on Monday that I'd drooled over when it was released last year, the rest as they say is history.... This has been a great forum and I've really enjoyed being part of it, thank you to everyone I've had dealings with and I hope you all have a great summer and ride safe
We've gained a few new members today, ones sure to be better than you so don't feel as though you'll be missed
When I had my 848 and then ktm 990 smr, I stupidly told myself I missed the IL4 scream. Got an R1 (just pre Big Bang) fully tricked out... Now back where I belong on a ducati twin again. The revvy noise is tempting but to ride, ducati FTW
I'm touched at how much ill be missed, I've had 5 bikes in the last 18 months so I dare say I may be back, I just need to tidy my garage and make room for more bikes, I'm beginning to see that 1 just isn't enough...
No reason why you cannot stay here and post I'm sure we will enjoy reading about your new ride and taking the Mickey
Not got a duc at the moment (currently working out how I can get another hyper 1100 past the wife...) but always come back here as its the "the" most sociable forum ive ever been on...but just to add sparky, congrats on the bike, hope you like it, I think, again this is one of the rare forums where, yeah, people change, and usually when you do, then everyone is supportive of no matter what your choice is....
I satisfy myself with both pleasures and it's nothing to do with bikes ..... I call it pokey bum wank !! twins or inline fours PAH !
