  1. Thread merge?

  2. Think its for all of them....

  3. I have asked for a thread merge, but @El Toro must be having a day off....
Only the older bikes need the inspection (and only the new part if the existing one is worn).
Dealers aren't getting the parts in until required, so it will be two trips.....what a load of b0ll0cks.
I would argue that they need the new part to prevent wear in the future!

  5. Dealers should be stocking the throttle housings, at least enough to cover their own customer bikes

  6. You won't as it has the new design of throttle cable body at the handle bar.

  10. I think your wrong AC, mines a twin spark and it's up for the recall.

  11. if you are not sure just ask your dealer to check it on their factory system they can check bike history and for any outstanding recalls on the frame number

  12. I agree, who wants their throttle jamming open because Ducati didn't want to run preventative measures

  13. 2010-2014 I heard....

  14. The advice came from the ducati workshop in Hampshire.
    So I stand corrected.

  15. My dealer checked the system for mine (2014), while I was in there anyway. It's not flagged as needing the recall... yet, anyway. Apparently they get processed in batches, so it might come up in the future.

  16. Mine is a June 2013 so manufactured in early 2013. The recall has come up when it was booked in for its second year service next month. Parts in stock so it will be changed at the same time.

  17. Phoned Woods Ducati up just now and waiting for the recall to be approved (should be today). Parts will then be shipped out today. Rework takes 18mins (pretty accurate timing) so should be able to pop in any time to get it done. Interestingly I never got a note from Ducati, it was sent to the former owner who must have kept my address and forwarded it on to me (which was very good of him). Now had the bike changed to my ownership in the eyes of Ducati (you just need to give your dealer the frame number, registration, and your personal details) but i wounder how many more people this would effect. I would that thought there should be some tie up for safety recalls with the DVLA. Apparently not!

    Cheers

  18. Halflife, like I've mentioned, Riders told me there could be two problems with the throttle, one as you say can be half an hour the needs several hours and Ducati need photographic evidence before allowing work to commence.

  19. Thats not true the factory put them all on the factory system at the same time

  20. OK, I guess he meant the letters being sent out, then. And some come direct from Ducati, others come via VOSA... :-S
