  1. TOOK MY 2013 HYPERMOTARD SP OUT TODAY, GOT 3 MILES UP THE ROAD, ENGINE MGNT LIGHT ON,ERRORS,LOSS OF POWER.
ITS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY, 5K ON THE CLOCK, IVE OWNED IT 2 MONTHS AND DONE 300MILES...
PHONED THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM, TO BE TOLD THAT THEY CANT LOOK AT IT FOR 1 MONTH, REALLY BUSY. TO MAKE THINGS WORSE DUCATI WARRANTY DONT EVEN SUPPLY A CURTOSY BIKE...
    DEFF NOT HAPPY....

  2. Name and shame the dealer...your right to be angry.wouldnt be so bad if they put a bit of effort in and got you a demo bike to use until they fixed yours. Ducati is a premium brand .you expect first class customer care....i have been treated better with a £300 cooker.broke after 18 mnths. Shop replaced it and fitted it no questions asked within 3 days.needless to say i buy anything with a plug on from them... on a 10k bike they should be jumping though hoops to keep you happy.

  3. ill be honest, i didn't expect this sort of treatment...its being recovered in tomorrow so ill give them a chance to work a miracle.....fingers crossed

  4. And as for ducati roadside assistance, they answer the phone saying chevrolet assist, then when you tell them you have a ducati they transfer you to the South Of France, to an office that doesn't know what assistance you are entitle too, they then tell you to have your driving licence and a credit card for a courtesy vehicle, when the breakdown guy turns up, he tells you you are not entitle to a courtesy vehicle....
And thats main dealer back up/support....disgusting

  5. That is disgraceful customer support, I would be livid.

Make it quite clear that the whole of your future dealings with this dealership depends upon a rapid solution to this problem.

Then if there is not a satisfactory response name and shame the dealer and complain loudly to Ducati UK.

  6. What's the odds that this problem is something to do with the fitting of a gipro gear indicator ;)

  7. And point out to them that there is more than yourself (i.e. this forum) waiting to see the outcome of your situation. Point this out to ducati uk as well.. they might lean on the dealer for a fast resolution. good luck.

  8. Well credit where credits due... After telling them to keep the bike and give me my money back... Within 45 mins of the bike arriving at the dealership it's been diagnosed ( throttle body) parts ordered and should be ready at the end of the week...
Deep breath , de stress and relaxxxx

  10. Thanks for the helpfull advice

  11. Good to hear it's being sorted but.. If they sorted it that quick when threatened why couldn't they do that in the first place? Hardly credit where credits due...

  12. Unfortunately the dealer still haven't sorted the bike, they told me the parts would be in wednesday/thursday and that i should have it back at the end of the week....phoned them today to be told the parts have not turned up, they don't know where they are as ducati don't track their parts, and they don't know any more than that...
not even an offer of a courtesy bike etc etc.
me thinks the bike log book and keys will be going back tomorrow as the bike only managed 167 miles before breaking down, the manufacturer can't tell where the parts are, and the dealership couldn't give a stuff.
    what a let down

  13. Hand over the keys and log book. Go to a Ducati dealer that actually value customer service.

Whenever I've bought Ducati parts from my local dealer they've only took around 2/3days to arrive max... Sounds like there putting you off until they have time to fit your bike in and fix it

  14. thats my next move...im so upset, its not even the bike breaking down thats tipped me over the edge, its just the total negative attitude from the dealer. I've got better customer service from tesco. ill just have to see what happens tomorrow morning in a packet dealership when i have a noisy fit and demand my 9k back.

  15. Good luck. As said spend your money elsewhere on a dealer who cares for their customers

  16. What a nightmare for you. what a bunch of w@#kers. get your money back.good luck

  17. Sorry your still having trouble and not got the bike back , but folk think that you can just demand your money back with a vehicle ..... any vehicle I'm on about here not just your case ....you carnt !especially with a used one , you have to give the selling dealer a 'reasonable ' chance to repair it . If it was brand new the same applies , what's 'reasonable ' is debatable and of course this is a arse for you .
The dealer could be stalling you or genuinely waiting for parts they could of least give you a bike to run around on but I don't think there obliged to do that , you could go to trading standards but they will say has the dealer made an effort to repair which they have albeit a slow one .
The perils of used cars or bikes I'm afraid , hope the parts come soon and your back on the road asap .

  18. Yep, as above. When I chatted to trading standards they told me the garage could even fit used parts on a used vehicle as long as they were safe.

  19. Once a parts order is placed, it's trackable. The order status in the warehouse is, and once despatched from the warehouse, and DHL have it, you can follow it to the door.......

  20. sounds like there is absolutely no point in paying the premium the dealer charges over a private sale. if your not paying for some sort of customer support and reassurance that you will be looked after if things go wrong.
