"pink"oil

  1. Has anyone ever experienced the gearbox viewing window with pink coloured smear on the inside of the glass and a minor amount of pink gel in the oil cap itself ? Oil level seems right

  9. what colour was the oil? is there grease used in the engine construction and if so was it pinkish ?

  11. I dont know i have just bought the bike ..it was my first ride out on it today..i noticed it when i got back... when i look through the filling port ot looks normal , but the window glass is covered in pink stuff , i will drain the oil and change the filter i think

  12. see if its rubbery it could be excess liquid gasket from an engine case ? or just change the oil and filter and forget.....maybe remove the oil and replace with cheep oil before replacing filter and refilling with motul or whatever.....soooooo whats the bike like to ride ? a bit of a monster?

  15. Castrol power 4t racing fully synthetic oil is pink . Could be that .

  16. Hi ..thanks for your replies , just had a belt service and oil change carried out by Mark @vts consett (v twin services) . This guy offers excellent services and at reasonable costs if anybody needs anything done.
    The pink oil froth problem turned out to be moisture gathering in the oil because the oil didnt get hot enough to evaporate it .☺
