Weather forecast for Switzerland not marvellous over the next few days. But today I am in London so not currently experiencing the full horror. Snow at 1300m? That's a tad low. I'll find out more tomorrow (back late this evening). They are saying Sunday much better. Still, that's a way off from Tuesday so how much do they really know? Recent forecasts have been a lot more gloomy than reality turned out to be. Strasbourg may be better in any case.
Weather yesterday for Luxemburg over the weekend was excellent, but with in a day it has deteriorated a bit, seems the weather has changed somewhat, lets hope it changes back again
well I'm pretty much packed, no panniers this time I don't need all that space and it just gets in the way filtering. So seat bag on the teatray, tank bag lashed to the front and bum bag for docs and all sorted! Waterproof covers already fitted. Textiles all re-proofed. Warm liner fitted into big textile jacket. Full to the brim fuel, hoping I can make the 180 miles to the services on one tank....guess that means an 0500 start Friday with a gentle cruise!
I have had 180 on a tank before and more cruising in 6th on motorways, that said I not even packed at all, so busy 4 am start this morning, still working now but wanted to get a big job out of way for an easier day on Thursday,
I get the train back to Taunton tomorrow night, pick up my van and head to my brothers near Guildford. I should get there about 11pm and crash on his settee before heading off to Folkestone at about 7am on Friday morning. At least that journey promises to be dry
I have thermals plus t shirt plus jumper plus liner in jacket so hoping I get too hot rather than be cold
Yes well, I'll have panniers on anyway, so all this will achieve is to enable you to lose me. Then you could wait for me to catch up!
@Pete1950 @Dave @Ken I have had to order some money and pick up from the tunnel so whatever happens I need to go into the building before getting on the train. Rate is really good btw if you haven't got your cash yet...
