  1. fine with me, as I need to go in and get my cash from the terminal

  2. I prob get there around 8-30 anyhow, though it depends how long it takes me to adjust the luggage setting on the bike, :(

  3. All the best guys you will love it. Haven't read the full saga, have you pre booked your accommodation/staying in Luxmbourg? If not you could do worse than stay at the youth hostel in Luxembourg, cheap as chips and an on site bar plus a nice wee stroll into centre (easier on way back). Been the first stop on my last 3 European trips and has become a tradition.

  4. Yoof hostel?! Ffs man one of us has a Desmo!
    Pmsl

Dont worry about the settg mad fella, we wont be on any decent roads til the other side anyway!

  5. We did a hostel type thing for 13 euros each for the night on our Mugello trip. The toilet was in the corner of the room, there was a bunk bed... That was it. I'd have rather strapped a tent to the bike

  7. I stayed in a hotel in France that cost well over £100 for the night. In the bathroom was a very ornate bath. With no plug. It had a shower attachment, but no curtain, and nowhere to hook the shower head.

Must've took them ages to mop the water up...

  8. Bit better than a hostel...

  11. Looks to be glorious weather for an overseas jaunt :upyeah:.

  12. Well, that was a big old day of motorcycling: 500 kms of nadgery roads and 30 limits (rather a lot of those...). Set off at 9am, back home at 7pm and apart from an hour drinking coffee and eating a raspberry croissant (thanks @Pete1950 !) pretty much all the intervening time spent on the bike. My wrists were shrieking in pain by the end, my hands just worn out from clutching and braking (plenty of clutch slipping, plenty of hairpins). I clearly haven't trained up enough for this...
Great to meet the gang, and I hope you all have a splendid rest of your trip.
Happy to leave, happy to ride and happy to get home.
400 yards from home had to slow to a standstill as there was a fox cub in the road, looking lost. Still too young to be really frightened of a Ducati - which does not bode well for it's longevity. It was rather sweet. Strange - you travel 500 kms and then see an interesting bit of wildlife only 400 yards from where you live.

999 will have to go to the doctor. It's a total bastard to start when hot(ish). It got seriously hot in Belfort and I thought it was going to die on me at any moment - all the traffic lights were red! But nursed it along and finally managed to cool it down with some spirited riding.
