848 848 Evo To 848 Evo Corse?

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by scratch pervert, May 30, 2015.

  1. I've been offered a reasonable price for my bike by a local dealer so thinking about a replacement... I prefer the smaller capacity bikes as I find they suit my riding style better.

Is the Corse worth upgrading to or should I just stick with my current bike?

    Opinions please gentlemen....

  2. Cant really comment except to say my Corse is for sale!

Improvements over the standard: 18 litre tank rather than 15.5, quickshifter, traction control. Think thats all?

  3. Is the tank aluminium?

  4. Are the brakes the same?

  5. Depends which version you get, the 2013 model with the brushed ally tank is metal all the other models are plastic tanks.
I find the brakes on mine excellent :)

  6. Oh and yes I do think it is a worthwhile upgrade, I really like the quickshifter and the traction control but you can turn both off if you want oh and even with quickshifter on you can still change gear using clutch if you wish you don't have to turn it off.

  7. Is that true? I thought all Corse versions were the same spec wise, just the 2 different colour options

  8. yes the 2013 has the larger ali tank.

    the two Corse versions:

    Ducati

    Ducati

    Ducati

Standard Evo has smaller front discs and tank and no DTC or QS I believe....

Only difference between the 2 Corses is the tank??

  9. Thanks for that!

The one I've been looking at is a 2012 model so no ally tank :(

I'm after the red colour scheme mate or else yours would be perfect

  10. Doesnt the corse come with ohlins rear too? All the upgrades (brakes, suspension, larger lighter tank, DTC) are the right one

  15. Yes get one in red and i've got termignoni slash cans and a corse ecu for sale

  16. Bal, go for the Evo Corse. You won't regret it.

The quickshifter alone is worth it. :)

  17. Thanks for the offer Rich but I've got a full Termi system on my current Evo which I'll be fitting to the new bike.

  18. Hi Terry, the guy selling the bike I'm looking at is away til Thursday so no deal can be done before then.

Funny enough I just fitted a HM quick shifter to my bike last week, it's already got the Ohlins rear shock fitted so only the brakes and traction control that are missing... And the Corse paintwork obviously :)

  19. @Richie Rich any chance of some pics of yours with full system fitted?

  20. I'll take some in a bit mate
