yip v.busy.
wish i had the balls to up the prices but a fair price for a fair job seems to work well.. small town, lots of garages, Chinese whispers. got to be v.careful what you say and what you charge.
probably to cheep but how many ducs do you need? not easy this running your own business lark.

 

been asked if I could do a C230 h/gasket and partly flattered - bet you would do that in half a day Fin?

 

unless it was a loyal customer probably wouldn't do it. especially if it was a diesel. known injector removal issues.

 

was petrol, even surprised me as I guess it's a dying breed in a mile-muncher

 

book time is 7hrs add a third if no problems

doing it properly even the cheapest (mk1 punto) will cost aqbout £500
skim,gaskets,water pump,thermostat,bolts t.belt oil and filter antifreeze + F.A.T.

 

I suddenly understand why so many cars are scrapped before their time is up now.
