I did look the other day from Bristol - I had to rebook mine due to a funeral tomorrow.....I think a Saturday flight from Bristol is something like 900 quid but if you fly out Wednesday (yesterday) it was something like 50 quid...I thought if it was cheap I could fly back for the funeral but no...
Mr.R - why do you recommend those two places to stay and where's a good place to start looking for accommodation? Going for the first time next year!
I'm going Sunday, really looking forward to it! Flying out from Bristol for the week. Ideally wanted to take the bike but my Mum has always wanted to go and I didn't fancy a pilly on my Monster for the trip. Can't make the TT but watching my 3 year old and 2 year old tear around a triangle of grass on pedals minus stabilisers and a balance bike respectively, is just as riveting. The 3 year old is currently lapping about 4 times faster than the 2 year old with an average speed of around 8mph though I think this year might be the first time we see the Sandy Beaches Caravan Park Triangle record smash through the 10mph barrier.

I was talking to a Desmo owner last year in Parliament Square. Tis funny, i have always thought he was you, from your posts on here over the last year. Bike looked very similar. Does the exhaust on the Desmo not outlet at the back where your luggage is? Have fun, i'm sure you will.
That's the standard and race exhausts that come out the top of the tail unit. I have the GP07 system which exits from the belly pan and the back of the tail. I've put some heat shielding around it but I think the luggage may be fine without it. It helps stop any scratches as well though
