Good evening, So, after a near fatal bike accident 2 months ago , i binned my Aprilia RSV4 Factory, and now looking at getting my first Ducati, so any pointers will help.
problem is mate i've had nerve surgery on my arm and have only been paid out 9K for my Aprilia, so can only afford an 848 EVO CORSE SE , been offered a nice mint one with full Termi's and full Duc' service history, fresh supercorsa tyres and chain (£8500.. any good?)i'm expecting a large personal injury payment at the end of the year, so i need a bike until then and 1299 is out my reach until i get the payout.. 848 will be my injury toy until then.
you will find a huge difference in power between the evo and V4, on road or track, and suspect of you could ride the V4 at a decent pace the 848 may well be a little lacking
Evo is all about corner speed you can't really just stop it and fire it out esp if dicing with big bikes. Likely lap times wouldn't be that dissimilar for most tho
My lap times may even improve on the evo... out of interest what's the top speed with a full Termi' system? is a gearing / sprocket change needed from stock? my Aprilia benefited on a 16/42 set up
Drop one and I saw 10k in 6th on park straight On the clock flat out 160 ish with me (120kgs) on board and will rev right out to limiter in top
Hi Rob - I was just on the RSV4 forum (catching up as ive not been on since back from the TT) and saw you jumped....how are you feeling now? Are you healing up well? You must be getting something from personal injury I gather as from what I remember the lorry pulled out on you? Anyway, this is a great place (and ive not got a ducati at the moment) but still am active on here. Although I think that might be changing soon as im missing my hyper...
It's an ample bike mate, I have the 1199 & the 848 Evo and the smaller bike is much better road wise.
You'll get a nice 1098 Streetfighter for that money. Get some bugs on your visor and make some noise .
