Length of forks & rear shock?

  1. Can anyone tell me the length of 900SS forks when fitted the bike (I appreciate there will be a slight variation, depending on springs/weight etc. want to see how they compare against a set of 1098 forks)

Also after the length of the rear shock (Bolt centre to bolt centre)

    Cheers Pablo

  2. Measured mine:

    Forks (1098) about 718mm
Rear shock from hole centres about 362mm

  3. Multistrada(1000/1100 aircooled) legs are 790mm axle ctr to top cap. Longest showa's made. SSie are 60mm shorter. Monster/SScarb/ST/ are 90mm shorter.

  4. ss shock 36mm0 carby 365mm IE

SS carby forks 720mm overall measurement unfitted

  5. 900SS Showa adjustables on a 750 SS Carbed.....705mm centre of axle to u/s cap......on the sidestand.

And the springs are linear (not progressive) @ .84kg / mm

  6. Cheers Gents,

Imola is that total length? Or centre to centre? The reason I ask is I thought my Ohlins was extended (The body has been extended and the eye rod is the longer version) at those measurements mine's not that far of a standard I.E shock.

  7. Pablo,
    Eye to eye centres mate.

I found when racing the 600 365mm was good on the white power racing shock i used along with the Forks approx 20mm sticking out of the top yoke.
Bit unstable over bumpy circuits down the straight but turned on a sixpence!

  8. I have nearly 25mm through the top yoke.......it counteracts the slowness of the 70 profile front tyre.....a bit wobbly at moving off speed until I got used to it, and it is almost too quick in corners....
