Hello all... I've just part exchanged my Z1000sx for a new Multistrada DVT s model with touring pack. After taking one out for a test ride last week I was hooked. I have been told that I should get it sometime in July, I just hope that is a pretty accurate date as I want to take it to the Pyrenees at the beginning of Sept. Whats the cost roughly of the first service and is it at 600 miles?
well done on your purchase, I too was hooked and could not wait for the S as the 1200 was there in the showroom waiting. I hope you get it in time, I'm sure you will. The Pyrenees are stunning and more so on the multistrada
May I ask what they did on the 600 mile service to justify a bill for £210! That's a lot for an oil and filter change?
My buddy just paid £190 for first service on his GS so I guess £210 is not too bad. I read that the valve clearance adjustment service is expensive. maybe we should start a thread on service costs for the DVT, I know the interval has increased from previous models
£210 for the fist service. FFS what a rip off. It's only an oil and filter change and a general check over. If my dealer tries charging that I'll be kicking off!
LLD, start swinging that foot. I was charged round that for my first service and they want £200 for the next one.
Mine was £205, £15 was for the loan bike. I didn't have to pay due to the problem I had with steering lock.
WHAT A RIP !! Dmc moto Preston / Ducati Manchester ( same company ) £150.00 first sevice all in If in doubt call Martin or Sergio ( Manchester ) Russ or Andy ( Preston ) These guys are top blokes so far from my experiences and won't rip you This is not a promo just a gratfull happy punter But what a bike........ Bye bye Mr sport bike rider catch me if you can hehehe...
Not a fan bradders just like to give credit where credits due It's not often you can praise dealers in this day an age.
I think Bradders might be thinking of "Run" with the DMC. Ducati Manchester is the first Ducati franchise in the UK and the official distributor of all Ducati merchandise. They are really friendly and easygoing. I recommend popping in for a social visit when in the area.
Excellent choice. I picked mine up on Saturday, and by Sunday night (last night) I'd taken it halfway to the first service, all two-up, and I've never felt so good getting off a bike. This is after three years without one and one day's test-ride, so about as cold as it gets. I haven't ridden far enough to find any non-flat ground but, based on the weekend's riding, this thing should be spectactular across the Pyrenees.
