  1. Hi need to sell my bike quick anybody used one of these sites

  2. I got a price for my SRAD a few weeks back just for interest sake, about 50% market value. I decided to keep the bike.

  3. You might be better off selling it to a bike shop, time of year is right.Probably won't get as much as selling it privately tho

  4. what bike is it??

  5. Ducati m1100 evo 20th annerversary , 265 miles.

  6. I've sold 3 bikes to my local dealer, money in bank that afternoon, price wasn't amazing but in all honesty wasn't terrible. WAY better than we buy any bike.

  7. I know at least one person who got more than he was expecting or had been offered by private buyers\dealers. I think it's down to the bike, condition, mileage etc. and whether they think they can shift it for a profit.

I actually say a "We buy any bike" van driving down my way. So I assume they pick up and collect when buying in certain cases, I always was under the impression you had to take the bike to them. I could be wrong though.

  8. Free pick up.

  9. they pick up. There is 2 of them, .co.uk and .com
One is in Bradford, used to be Viva Moto now Rite Bike. I bought an MV 750S off them for £300 more than they paid for it.

I sold my 999S to the Superbike Factory last year - had it advertised for £5K for 2 months with no takers with a view of taking £4500. They phoned me, did a deal at £4700 over the phone - collected, paid by bank transfer while the driver waited, money in the bank no issues.

  10. How much do you want for it...

  11. Would like £7000. O miles when I purchased it 4 months ago only rode 3 times , just turned 60 thought I needed something more comfortable, just don't like it will stick to my sports bike.

  12. What MY? Just threw a 64 plate into Wise Buyers Guide and trade is 6300 ish. Go have a look there so you know if it's a good or bad offer.

  13. I can ask my dealer etc if you want, pm me more info on year, history, colour/marks ..

  14. To be honest, id just look on ebay, see what sort of prices the same make/model/mileage tend to go for, then stick mine up for a .99p starting bid, no reserve. Unless you have really bad pictures or have worded your description in a strange way, it will always fetch the market price and have a massive audience of people who will see it. Thats exactly what ive done with the last 3 vehicles I sold privately and was more than happy that I got a fair price for them.

Take for example the MK4 Golf GT TDI I sold the other year. Garage offered me "trade" price for it which was £500. I looked on ebay, they tended to sell roughly between £2000 and £2500. Mine had very high mileage, so started it off at .99p, ended up selling for £2300. So bang on the money.

You can maybe do a 1 week listing, ending on a Sunday, with terms that the buyer collects within 7 days. What you may find is that loads of people will make you offers outside of that for an even quicker sale.

When I sold my wifes car last year, I looked on there and they tended to make around £1400 for her make/model. I listed the car on the Sunday evening. Bloke contacted me straight away and came and viewed it on the Tuesday (in the pouring rain). Agreed on £1500 cash in order to stop the listing, he left deposit and collected on the Friday morning.
