Hi everyone, I've been reading this forum for weeks now and I can't wait to become a 'full fledged member' once I get my first Ducati! Especially love those great pics in the gallery thread and hope to be contributing soon I'm close to putting down the deposit for a red 1200 DVT Touring and was hoping for your input on the following: Is the delivery time really as bad still as some posters here suggested back in April (of 4/5 month+) or has it gotten better now? I would like to ride this side of November this year if possible! Do any of you have experience with Ducati Hyside (the good, the bad the ugly!). Had a test ride with them a few weeks back and they're nice enough. Just wondering what the experience is like once you bought the bike? Many thanks in advance! Best Thomas
No experience of Hyside I'm afraid but what did they say the delivery time would be? Probably a good place to start then phone around a bit to see what other dealers reckon?
Thanks Mark. I went there in mid-May and they estimated it'd arrive by end June if I had put down my deposit right then and there. Sounded reasonable to me at the time but now I'm a bit worried that it may have been a bit too optimistic - especially as I'm going for the most popular version.
I'd give them a call mate and see what they say now. Always worth a shop around regardless but I'd definitely go for a Mutley - best fun I've had sitting up ever!
I bought my standard dvt from hyside. I highly recommend them. Ordered the end of March and got it beginning of May. It was delayed a week due to a faulty steering lock. But they got the part quickly and threw in the 1st service. Popping in there Saturday to get my service light reset, a bit eager with the 1st service

I'm afraid that I'll need to wait a while before adding any accessories (other than the standard touring pack) since I'm already stretching myself quite a bit financially with the bike. Just couldn't get it our of my head anymore since the test drive and all reviewers online just LOVE it! What accessories did you put on? Any recommendations? And where did you out the GPS as it seems like there isn't a lot of space above the TFT screen?
I have always used Hyside with my ducs, really good people, I have never had a problem service wise or warranty. I you do decide to buy from them you won't suffer from poor service, not in my experience anyway.
Another Hyside lover here. Bought my 848 from them and my bunch of mates have bought several bikes over the years from them. My uncle knows them really well and always used to get panniers etc... Thrown in with a new bike. We still always stagger (blind drunk) over to see them at Brands as they have their bike in the 899 cup. Sadly my house move has taken me to East Sussex or I would still use them.
