  1. 30 CAR TYRE PUNCTURE REPAIR STRINGS WITH FREE TOOLS 100x4mm | eBay
It involves taking a piece of black sticky string from a puncture repair outfit (see eBay link), threading it through the end eye of the insertion tool, then poking the tool into the puncture hole in the tyre. Next the tool is twisted round and round several times and pulled to and fro. The tool is pulled sharply out of the tyre, leaving the hole plugged by the sticky string, which will have twiddled round into a lump. Finally the loose ends on the string are snipped off, and air is pumped into the tyre. With luck, the tyre will hold pressure - but if not, you can have another go with another piece of black sticky string. It's a "get you home" fix, not good enough for prolonged high speed use, but it's pretty easy to do even on the roadside.

  3. So day 4 of the maisonette cleaning and things have been going well. Cleaning guy has been steaming and disinfecting and I have been sorting what stuff can go, what stuff will stay and what stuff needs a decision made on. This whole thing has been an education and I really don't get it. If you don't make juice from fresh fruit, why would you buy 5 juicers ? Still she is my sister and I love her so I will bite my tongue. Anyway things were going so well, moving a fridge freezer I have managed to dislocate the second knuckle on my middled finger on my clutch hand. That's any thoughts of a ride stuffed for at least 3 weeks :Arghh:. Taking paracetamol and ibroprufen with a large can of chilled Sapporo and feeling very sorry for myself. Still another day tomorrow and I'll just have to do my bit one handed. Andy

  4. Yeh......tomorrow is Friday

  5. Nope

  6. Noticed the little flags have gone.

Do any of you get the online Ducati magazine? I think its called Redline.

  7. Only just got the email from Ducati. Need to down load it. Andy

  8. 60 or 70 odd pages, didn't get much of a look in work, lots of pics

  9. It's always a decent read.

  10. I left work an hour early today as I was knackered. I only had an hour and a half sleep last night as I have a lot on my mind just now, but when I got home I fell asleep for two hours as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I hope I can sleep tonight.

  11. Spent most of the day pulling some financial data for someone as a big favour. Not a programme I am familiar with but I was given the project numbers involved within the programme so straight forward but fiddly. Turned up at my desk, 15 mins before I told her I was leaving and wanted to know why there were projects missing - umm you gave me the list! Why did I use that style of table - err it is whAt you drew as an example, why had I put some financial data under the wrong contract - because it is against the contract recorded on our financial system, why was som e forecasts exceeding the budget? - because your project managers don't know how to forecast? She gave me 15 minutes to 'correct' it. She got a set of data that might be correct, might not be, I get so clumsy when rushed

  12. No it's not!

  13. Take a chill pill man, leave and switch off, go back and switch on - or you will regret it. You need some karma to go with that new ride :)

  14. Just back from a couple of hours at A&E with my son who thought and it looked like he had broken his foot delivering his papers
He slipped down 3 stone steps
Had to bundle him and the trolley and papers into the mini

It's very badly sprained and he has crutches as he has one last exam on Friday and he finished school for good

Now I'm running up and down like a scivvy getting him stuff
Oh the joys of being a parent :)

  16. how did his interview go

  17. Still waiting to hear from them
It should have been the end of last week :Nailbiting:
Others have had a reply so he has been told, so last night he was very negative it's probably why he sprained his ankle as it was on his mind
    :Banghead:

  18. If people have heard they haven't got the job, your son not hearing is a good thing surely ? Still not what he would want to hear but he could be their second choice and they are waiting for their first choice to either accept or turn down the job so all might not be lost. My fingers are crossed. Andy

  19. still good experience, interviews are a job in it's self.

  20. Yes I tell him experience is everything and not to give up
If all else fails he has a place at colleague to do electrical engineering so all is not lost :)
