  1. Hasn't a couple from Haverhill just won 148 million on the Euro lottery. I do hope it's David, or failing that, I do hope he's OK.

  2. It's not David, I spoke to him in the week after the lucky so and so's had won and he was as pissed as the rest of us that it wasnt him!
Lucaz thanks for saying you'll pop over to his workshop to see if he's about, I don't know where it is so couldn't go myself.

  3. 749man sorry re bike. While you were there did you notice a kind off navy blue alfa 156 or white fiat van or triumph mc or 999?

  4. Or a Mercedes saloon even....

    AL.

  5. Yes a mid blue 156 was there

  6. i popped by his house and there were none of hos vehicles around although the top front window was open,i have taken the number of the estate agents so i will contact them and try to get a message through.

  7. I'm no detective but the wheelie bins outside the front door where Completley empty

  8. F-me! If you aren't a detective, perhaps you are a council refuse warden (snoop).........or were you really just looking for his 999 just in case he had thrown it out?

  9. If it weren't so hot I would have done a door to door Q&A

  10. So Nog was supposed to service your bike on the 2nd september . Took your money and then you heard nothing and its now the 8th september and still no word on your service. I think , if he hasnt got a life threatening injury , there is no excuse . I would by now claim my money back from the credit company and have nothing more to do with him , if he turns up . I once bought a set of rear sprockets of an individual that crashed his bike the day after the Ebay sale. He broke his back and is now in a wheel chair . His first thoughts were to get his mate to post said Ebay sprockets as He had taken my money and didnt want to be branded with a bad name. Poor fucker I would have given him the money anyway but he made sure he finished his deal.I have no dealings with Nog but if it were my money he would have to have a fucking good excuse.

  11. Michel did you go to his workshop?

  12. He is a straight up bloke 2242 and there are many of us who will vouch for him on here - there will be a good reason although none of us can fathom it yet.

  13. 2242...this isn't about David ripping Archer for 120 quid.

It's about people being concerned for a decent bloke. Even if his business has fell to the hard times we're having. I for one would rather be owed or lost that money as long as he's ok!

Worst case for Archer he has the inconvenience of claiming his money back from the card company, but after all it is only money.

  14. 2242, I'm in a difficult position here, I don't know Nog personally, but the recommendations for his work were enough to make me want to have him service my bike. Now I can't afford to lose the money as, like a lot of folk cash is tight, but if something has happened to him, I'd rather just wait a while to see if he's ok, before claiming my money back. I'd like to thank everyone on here who is doing their best to find him, not to have a go about a missed service, but because , like Funky, we are concerned about the guy. Chris

  16. did not manage to get to workshop, but luca with the amount of people sending texts and other messages he would for sure have answered, under normal circumstances, and if something had happened in the workshop i think it would be noticed by the farmer. All very worrying, dont like it one bit.

  17. Unfortunately, not only Nog has had some hard business times (I'm another) however that shouldn't mean anyone has to go to ground unless it is something serious.....

......I know Nog was always ready and looking for business, but that's his job.

As an aside, I also know he worked for another company in Bury St Edmunds during the winter months....at least that's what he told me.... I won't say 'who' on here, but if you want to know, PM.

I am also aware that he was having several difficulties sorting his mother's affairs following her recent death and who knows how that can affect a person....

I always found Nog a decent guy, but in the circumstances, I can understand why people could be alarmed about the lack of communication.

Until we know what has occurred, I don't think anything can be done other than remaining aware.

    AL

PS....I assume people know what his surname is?

  18. Michel, I hope the last bit of your post wasn't aimed at me, as I'm not in anyway trying to cause trouble. I'm just concerned for Nog's well being, and hope I can actually meet the guy, and hope he can service my bike! As I said in my previous post, I want to thank everyone who is trying to find out if Nog is ok. The service is the least important thing here, Nogs health is top priority! I would hope to meet up with everyone on here at some point, and chew the fat over a pint or two.

  19. Al, that's well put. He is the most important part of this whole thread. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that he's fine and there is a simple solution to his "disappearance".

  20. This really is unlike Nog/David, and I'm very concerned about Him, I have 2 mob numbers for him and both are switched off.
