Hi guys I aim to get a hypermotard 1100 asap, does anyone have experience with the standard and S bikes and tell me if the S really is worth holding out for? Are the upgrade wheels,suspension,brakes that much more beneficial to have? I will be riding for fun with occasional pillion, unlikely to use on track but can't rule it out. May try some long distance on it too? Paul
Get the S model... I wish I did as they may seem small changes but add up to a lot overall. But saying that I have the standard model and still love it
go with the s ,it will re pay when you decide to sell again, and in the meantime you will enjoy the upgrades.
The incremental price difference is probably a lot less than you could buy the bits for second hand. That said its all about budget and personal circumstances - I've got the ego sp because it was the highest spec and I had to have it but I'm the kind of fool who buys branded stuff so.....
oh man your going to have so much fun. you need to buy the ducati performance front basket and place several bricks in it to keep the front wheel down lol....enjoy and ride safe.

Are they aftermarket bars? Either way you'll have a blast. I was always a fan for the air-cooled 1100 lump. Great for the roads and sounds lovely with a through pipe.
