Just watched -------------- win the shortened bsb race at donnington and in the background one of his mechs was the spit of Slick that did the spannering for foggerty , amongst other things , anyone know if he is spannering for ----------- .
You can only have a spoiler after the race. Work it out Just got in after riding and have recorded the racing.
Then instead of looking at the racing thread you should maybe watch it before looking where you may get some dick telling everyone who won.
slick bass used to spanner for hislop didnt he ??? from what i recall of hislops biography ,bass was bit of a nutter
He may of , but, his main claim to fame was that he spannered for fogarty most of his racing years . I thought I saw him in the background of Tyco when Josh Brookes won at the weekend.
I reckon he must be a good bloke - he gave me some advice about the Manx GP and friended me on facebook and we've had a few chats. I've never actually met him but he didn't mind giving his time to help. Top Geeza
iom? because its mecca or because it has favourable tax avoidance ??? lol jokes aside ,if he spannered top riders for some time did the teams/factorys look after him financially ? are the mechanics at that level "doing allright fella ",cos ive been told some bsb mechanics not earning much at all ? sorry dont mean to jack the thread
when foggys career was cut short because of his accident slick found himself out of work...his maw lives on IOM..no sure if he was born n brought up there but his maw has a B&B there
googled him last nite-he now runs and owns slick performance,a tuning/specialist centre with engine building and dyno setup in i.o.m.,looks real pukka and all
Don't know what he's doing now, but can confirm he's a larger than life character. In the late 90's a mate of mine arranged a stag do in Windermere with a days riding dirt bikes with CCM who ran, or supported, an off road business there. Imagine our surprise when Foggy and Slick turn up for a ride out? I think one of the Clews guys was with them. Of course we didn't see any of them all day, but they joined s for a few beers that night. I recall Foggy being invisible because of the women aroung him and Slick shooting two bottles of beer simultaneosly, time, after time, after time! Long memorable night!
