Fitting Brembo Rcs Clutch

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by lewygoosy, Jun 16, 2015.

  1. Hi guys I'm going to be fitting a new radial clutch cylinder soon and I'm not sure A. What the micro switch does underneath the original clutch and B. What to do with it once I fit the new cylinder do I just by pass it or cut it off? As there isn't a fixing for it on the rcs cylinder. Any ideas?

    Thanks

  2. The micro switch might be associated with the side stand switch. Whatever it is you need a banjo with the micro switch as part of it. I am sure it has been mention on here before so a search might get a result. Andy

  3. I did look, but am still unsure....

  4. The clutch switch tells the ECU the clutch is being pulled in, so you could, for example, start it in gear after it stalls at lights!! :)

  5. is that all it does?

    i never stall it...:p

  6. it could save your life..........stall pulling out of a junction with traffic bearing down on you and you will need to be able to hit the starter.

  7. Disconnect all the 'safety' switches and you'll have no problem starting in gear...

  8. So without the switch it wont start if stalled? I'm sure it wont make a difference would it ?

  9. It won't start in gear. You'd have to find neutral, then start it.

  10. got you! thanks guys :)
