  2. The XR is a very quick machine and the pro assist shifter makes a huge difference to the way it accelerates. The vibes are bad though and seem much worse than the S1000r I own. I pretty sure a you Ducati owners have a far superior bike. I'm sick of waiting for mine though. I may book another test ride from Woods in Abergele to ease the pain

  3. Grats Bradders. I thought you would have been one of the ones that waited a year while they ironed out the glitches and throttle lag?

  4. I think one of the selling points of the XR over the DVT is the quick shifter, it could well be the difference between the 2 for the decision to buy a XR over a DVT

  5. Well done @bradders . You'll love it. But why white? Sold out of red ones?

  6. Yes...;)

2nd gen skyhook and a great dealer get bed me the confidence to buy now JC. Can honestly say if it wasn't for the seat height /width I'd have paid off my multi and run it fur a few years more. I can see me keeps my this one until it's dead.

  7. For me the selling point was and is twin against inline4. Inline4 is for cars.

  8. Its all down to personal preference and i doubt many would be disappointed with either bike.

Personally I don't think i will ever buy another IL4 as I find them so bland and unengaging but that's not to say others will.

I do get the impression the Xr1000 has been rushed out to meet the new DVT Multi. As it stands there is no information about any accessories available for the XR1000 even on their website and the pannier frames do like a bit shite to me. Can you buy a topbox for them as none is listed?

  9. Bradders you know the red ones are faster than the white ones :upyeah:
What delivery time have the liars, sorry I mean dealers given you ?

  10. Bring your red one, I'll take m white one, we'll see which is fastest ;)

  15. And me, go bladders go :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah:

  16. Am I the only other person that has a white one?

  17. Of course not they made more than 2. and just fro the record I wanted a white one when I bought my 2014 S GT but they said they only do them in red now, he didn't even think they did them in silver in 2014.

IF and it's a huge IF like that, I bought a 2015 I would get a white one too.
and I don't think paint color has any bearing on speed, both paints weight the same and neither are slipperier than each other. :Artist:

  18. Red Ducs tend to attract a better class of rider and as such go faster...no!;)

  19. I've got a white one. I really liked the original pearlescent white and wanted one back in 2010 but I took the red bike they had in stock rather than wait a month or two. I went for another red one in 2013 as Ducati had dropped the white option.

  20. Funny how white 848s seems to sell well enough ...
