  1. UNashamed BUMP.
Price adjustment due to seismic noise from SWMBO.

  2. UNashamed BUMP.
Price adjustment due to seismic noise from SWMBO about "new Kitchen and extra bikes being in the way".

  3. This has been for sale like forever :Wideyed: got the PP yet?

  4. I've been riding the PP since last October...
This is the cheapest (and best spec IMHO) ABS/Ohlins 2010 model I can find and no interest!
To be honest if it don't sell soon I'm going to re-tax it, so it can share the miles I'm loading on the PP.
I don't need the cash, just the space....perhaps another garage / shed (Noooooo).

  5. I'm really shocked that your bike hasn't sold. Someone will have a great bargain there!

I'm hanging on to my classic 2010 as it still rides so well. Have to get a Mutley rideout organised, maybe July when things go a little quieter for me.

  6. Has anyone else sold a Mutley over £7K privately?
I've had zero interest (ignoring the odd joker).
Chatting to people at the various meets said I should have traded it in.....
Not really being a wheelier dealer...I just thought most purchased out of warranty bikes for cash.
It would seem a vast majority finance their bikes, even those with clearly high incomes.

  7. Modern times. The missus and I had just purchased our first home & are getting married. We bring in a decent wedge between us but it had to be finance for me (2010 touring) just based on cash flow. Just signed the forms and prayed the 1 year dealer warranty would work (so far so good with my full engine rebuild after <1 month) [emoji106]

  8. Just to add. No beating you price & spec. Best offer by miles and you'd be a fool to turn your nose up at buying your bike... But, 1 year warranty played a huge part in my decision and has saved me a couple of grand already when that engine cam snapped off.

  9. I wonder if I could buy a 3rd party warranty to pass on (or buy) when I sell it?

  10. I was thinking that. Offer to purchase a 3rd party warranty upon collection, in the new owners name.

  11. I've been watching your bike on ebay. Im waiting for the ex to sell the house before i can buy. What worries me is the high mileage ? I know you've just had it serviced for the second 15k but is a 30k + mileage something to worry about? How long do these engines last ?

  12. I honestly don't know. I just didn't want to try and sell a 60,000 mile one.
If I hadn't "upgraded" to the slower 2013 twin spark Pikes it would have over 45K miles by now.
There are a few 50K mile bikes out there and I'm not aware of any failures due to mileage.
The only thing I wear out is tyres and handle bar grips...I must remember to loosen the grip...but it's just too much fun!

  13. I've had my 2010 multi for a very short time. Got it with 6100 on the clock, and in a little over 1.5 months i've put close to 2.5k on that. I'll be getting a 15k service done every year at this rate. Maybe I should have thought about my mileage vs service costs :Banghead:

If the servicing is done right, no reason these bikes can't just go and go. I'll be aiming for 6 figures now just to prove a point.

Hopefully it's new bike syndrome and my mileage will decrease... Not bloody likely though :upyeah:

  14. Nope...you just keep going.
I've been a bit of a bike slut over the last 40 odd years and the MTS1200 has the highest smiles per mile* of any of them.
Husky NOX...for wholly shit...this is fun...then return to base before 12 miles for some bum cream and a doughnut arse pillow.
998S for the admiring looks and blown kisses from the girls at college (I keep the tinted visor down, don't want to scare them off).
Again great fun, but after 130 miles I put it away for at least 2 weeks.

*This may be why I'm so critical of the smallest of niggles~. I've spent more time on this bike than nearly all the others put together.

    See Back brake.
See Speedo water ingress and associated LED light leakage.
    See appalling low end fuelling
See crap exhaust valve made of dinky toy metal.
    See fastners shit finish.
