Spent the weekend camping with some fellow bikers. Took the C90 as it's the only bike that can carry luggage. Did over 250 miles.
Emptied and dismantled all the bed and fixings in my van, made good loose panels and Insulated and ply lined the ceiling in my van. Well mostly, one small bit to do and waiting for no nails to set so I can fix by the rear doors. Real hard on your own and its a bit gappy at the beck end...nothing some gaffa tape over the top won't sort out and then covering it all in carpet anyway
woke up at 10 ish this morning after doing a 19 hr shift down in Bournemouth. Then out to my son's football club presentation where he was awarded a trophy for outstanding player. Followed by a friend's party stilo Latino where we spent most of the afternoon drinking and eating. Not a bad day! I too have received two cards from my 6 year old twins. Easy to tell who is their favourite parent! Happy Mother's Day?
I've been north to see my mum, pity she never recognises me nowadays When I came home I went out on the Scrambler for a couple of hours, then me and SWMBO went out for a cheeky early evening curry
Quick cycle ride, only 13 miles but very hilly. Grouting in The bathroom, some gardening, walked the dog, cleaned cars. No opportunity for a spin on a m/bike today, oh well!
Commandeered my mate's narrowboat for the day and me, the bird and 3 other friends went for a putt-putt up the river. Naturally alcohol was involved. All went well til I nipped below for a pee; flushed the loo and the smell from the holding tank hit me like a Tyson right-hander, Christ it was rank! Sarah threw up over the side and the rest of us turned dark green. In the ensuing melee the person I left in charge of the tiller neglected his duty and we grounded. No poles to push off with, naturally, so I did the only thing I could - I threw him overboard and made him push us off by hand... Now, a decent mate would have carried on to the marina and pumped the tank out, but the smell was so bad I decided to turn around and head back to the mooring where we disembarked and fired up the barbecue. The boat will probably be powering itself by the time the owner gets back off holiday...
Update I have done very little work, Been finding new game on Ipod and failing, On the second Coffee and stil trying to decide if I should walk to the café or not for a fix me up - I hate Mondays!!!
