I agree, always on the edge of the previuos sportsmatrs, but just a tad away from the egde on the PR4's!!
I just went to look at my 1299 and I'm half inch from the edge on the rear tyre. I think I need to get it out and put a few more miles on. Only managed 69 miles on the day I picked it up and worked everyday since!!!
I also agree, the GT rear was dead easy to get right to the edge the profile on the PR4 has more curvature and so I'm still a little of the edge.
This guy was parked outside the Raven, Ballaugh Bridge during race week. I couldn't help take the photo as his strips were huge!! Fair play to the bloke, even though he'd just come to pose he did say he needed to get it leant over a bit more.
here is mine.. very embarrassed, not sure I dare lean over more, I dont know if it feels lower as I am higher in the first place or something.. just a pussy..
it is not so strange rgvdave. Honestly, I had just a little less space than yours until I found the correct tyre. I never had a single bike I didn't leant enough to reach the border (not in the street, not on the track), but it seems that the Multi is a little more difficult. It is not a real problem, I just can lean the bike more than me but it would be stupid and wrong... If you feel you're going fast as usual, it is sure possible that the multi remains more upright, she gives you even more possibility if you want, but then you would really be racing and not riding It is not chicken stripes to determine if you're riding well and fast
I remember getting to the edge of the GT's easily but the PR3 had a narrow chicken and the PR4 seems the same profile. Hats off to those without chicken strips on the PR4
My tyres never get that sticky pulled edge business. Maybe in hanging off too much (doesn't feel like it, toes scrape)...? Does leaning on traction control corner exit promote that or warmer grippy Tarmac? (848 had sportsmart2's now qualifiers- which are going well in the dry).
Tbf that is cheating, it was on track. And can safely say traction rarely (never noticeably) kicks in. The right side chews more
