  1. Having a good evening blast out on the 899 nice quiet roads so shifting along. Then notice steam pouring out the bike. My mate following me said it's seemed to happen when I hit the power leavening town. Looks like a call to ducati tomorrow finger crossed it it's nothing serious. Doesn't seem to be from the front go the radiator it's all down the left side of the bike not on the right. Lucky all the turns before i noticed were right handers could have been worse with all the coolant over the rear tyre.

  2. It's now a real ducati

  3. Ducati Newcastle weren't that interested. Said they could look on 3 weeks. So I'm waiting to see how Leeds get on.
Can't find the leak topped up this aft no leak ran it up nowt. Rode it up the drive slight smoke again but still can't locate the leak.

  4. Overflow hitting the zorst?

  5. Could be but I would expect to see drops of coolant. If Leeds aren't any more helpful then I might go local. If it's cheap get them to fix if it's big it will be a warranty job.

  6. I'd stick to the dealers mate , if anything goes Tits Up you'll be covered on the warranty where as going with who ever your not

  7. Both places can't even look at the bike for 3 weeks. Think I'm going to have to get local to have a look.

  8. Let us know how you get on

All dealers are taking bookings a month in advance at the moment down here due to how busy they are

  9. Just spoke to Riders cardiff, they are taking bookings from 5th july...... just have to wait.

  10. In the meantime I would get the fairing off and fire it all up and see if there is any obvious sign

  11. ^ yup - could just be a loose clip.

  12. The customer service (or lack of) you are experiencing is disgraceful IMO. I had a brake issue with mine and when I spoke to DG they took it in there and then and fixed the problem, fantastic service couldn't ask for better. Being made to wait that long is not on regardless of how busy they are!

  13. Can't really see what they can do
If there booked solid how are they going to slide other bookings in.
    Without rushing other work
Feel yer pain tho,3 weeks with no bike

  14. New bikes out always means ages to wait for slots. [emoji31]

  15. I've got the to side fairing off. Filled her up and ran her up. No obvious leaks. Rand for 10-15 min nothing. Didn't even get that warm about 56 deg. Then rode it up the slope on my drive way sat it on the road and I could smell burning and their was a slight bit if steam still not visual sign of leaks. I'm going to ride it tomorrow to a local mechanic he said he will look but won't do anything unless I say. Two pairs of eyes are always better than one.
Gotta say Ducati Leeds were much more accommodating. Said they would have it in there work shop and look in between jobs. M&s weren't so accommodating. Trouble is Leeds is 56mile away Newcastle is 48miles so the ducati assistance will take me to Newcastle. See what tomorrow brings.

  16. Has it been washed recently?

  17. It's the newness :)

  18. It got washed Sunday. I reckon it all must have dried by tue evening. Also their was a lot of steam and pink coolant all over the left side of the bike and the rear wheel

  19. Pink coolant - hose leak it sounds like or a clip couldn't imagine it could be worse like a head gasket etc let us know how you get on

  20. The mechanic should be able to pressure test the system and that may bring up any leaks
