This is a crash damaged 749 Dark i bought last year, Did the valve clearances and belts removed the cat in the front pipe and had the end can de-cored with 1098 outlet pipes, power filters and power commander. Ducati corse slipper clutch and mono subframe. Finished off with a set of Chinese fairings.The exhaust work was carried out by MTC in Burscough, the 1098 outlets were larger than the ones on the Termignoni 749/999 race silencer so the holes in the carbon cover had to be enlarged. Its a deep tone but not ridiculous, MOT was fine and as it was the original silencer body CE marks are still visible.
i must admit i was pleasantly surprised with the fairing, i got to choose how i wanted it as they made it to order, 2 weeks later they sent pictures of it complete for my approval. It was fine so i said post it, it arrived 5 days later in a reinforced box with a free screen, full fastener kit, rim tape and tank pad. Paintwork is very good externally with lacquered over decals, just a bit of overspray on the inside, had to open up a few screw holes etc to get the bolts through but once fitted everything lined up great. the cost was £327 and i didn't pay any duty.
Nice looking bike. Interesting to know that the fairings from the far east ain't as bad as what everyone (who hasn't bought them?) says there like. I've been thinking for a long time about turning mine into a bayliss rep but have been put off with all the negative hype about these. Do you have a link to Chinese company who did these?
Which company did you get the fairings from? I'm wanting some for my 999S but in two minds about delivery time and quality. Looking good tho mate.
Tank is original matt black Dark item. this is the seller Fairing bolts UK, Engine Cover UK items in FairingsAndBolts store on eBay!, but doesn't appear to have any fairings listed although there are plenty of other ebay listings from China/Hong Kong, presume they are manufactured at the same place and sold through different distributors?
