Moto Gp Assen 2015- Thoughts??

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Ducati worx, Jun 27, 2015.

  1. Hi guys & gals
Thoughts on the Assem race this afternoon please??
    Let the debate begin..

  2. What is there to debate ? Racing incident and something that has gone un punished for years, a comment made by both commentators at the time. If I am going to be drawn, that's the second time the little shit has got his comeuppance after aggressive moves, not withstanding his obvious talent. Andy

  3. Agreed, shit move on a corner with no where else to go, personally I loved the way rossi leant on him and didn't just pull out.

    Good racing

  4. Marquez, tried his best, it wasn't good enough so in desperation tried a do or die move, if he had done it against Lorenzo or Pedrosa it might have worked or even taken them both out. If anything MM should be spoken to by race direction for the dangerous manoeuvre

  5. Not as bad as Hayden nerfing Edwards in 06.
He picked on the wrong person today, I like the way Rossi lifted the front end of his M1 before hitting the gravel MX style to avoid losing the front end in it. [emoji41]

  6. Have I missed something here Tossi tried to knock Marques off then cut the corner and was awarded the win even though he cheated what a wanker

  7. Slightly off the Rossi incident. But I thought bt coverage was shite today. Loads of scrapping for 5,6,7,8 and all we watched was them two go round.

  8. BT has nothing to do with the coverage, they just relay the MotoGP provided feed. However I too would shoot the TV Director because I want to see the racing, not the team garage or the rider's girlfriend/boyfriend/father/mother/best mate etc etc etc.

  9. I think Rossi knew he was there. With 5/6 laps to go he may have let him pass but no, last lap stubbornness and he was right to do so. Had he not straight lined it, he would have been turning too tight on the dirty stuff and gone down. I won't moan about MM being too aggressive, rossi's been there and done that, punting Gibernau and Jorge in last corner clashes. Gives us lot something to shout about and get on our feet watching. Even the missus enjoyed that last lap.

  10. I'm a ducati rider and no yamaha fan but thats six in a row now for the yamaha squad and honda must be feeling it.Do they lack a good development rider or are the Honda engineers digging away in their own ditch like volvo drivers do?

About time the talented young whippersnapper got as good as he gives in a fair head to head contest.I'd say rossi has the yamaha squad whipped into shape.

  11. Crafty old GOAT I'd say..he knew he could straight line it through the next corner if he had to, it looks like he even moved over to let him in from the aerial shot..

  12. I think it's ridiculous MM's behaviour now on the track, several times he's just used his bike as a battering ram and no punishment.. Rossi had no where to go but go across the gravel. I've lost all respect for MM now, taking a flag?... Bitchy comments... Twat.
And James toseland saying Rossi had that move planned all along, I don't think so... Both JT and that Craig " upvc windows" guy should and present another program...

  13. Bollox. I want them to swap paint on the last corner, thats racing! Lets have more I say. Far worse was Lowes on Shakey at Assen in the 130 mph turn...now THAT was dangerous

  14. I agree I like a good hard race. But not using the Bike as a torpedo as MM has several times before...

  15. I agree, exciting stuff but Lowes move was a full on torpedo. Went for a line that he hoped would open up rather than wait for it to even start to open.

  16. Rossi deserved that,no question.A little bit desperado from MM,but what the hell, its racing.

  18. It was a wishful lunge, but also there was a gap. Remember Rossi's ducati lunge on Stoner. Took them both out. If you're not willing to try you should hang up your leathers and quit.

  19. Rossi is a god i would have punched Marquez for that attempted murder
