Got back from Afghan for R+R yesterday. Went to the garage to see my baby, put the battery in, turned on ignition and prodded the starter. Vroom, she fired up for the first time in 4.5 months and sounded sweet. Now all I have to do is fit all the bits I've bought for her. Will post some pics when I'm done. Matt
Great to see you're back , put plenty of pics up when mod's completed, and remember to ride the thing too!
Welcome back, always pleased to hear of folk coming back safe! Enjoy some time out on the bike whilst we have some good weather!
Thanks all. Its good to be back. Bikes all stripped, clutch/ water pump cases on, K&N filter in. Just M4's, Hel lines and fairings to go. Roll on sliverstone. Matt
Glad you're back home. But just because you have got through a tour of Afghan unscathed, don't forget you can still get scrunched popping down to the chippy - try to remember you're not invincible! Sorry about that.
Will be up soon. Had a mare with the new tail. The lock doesn't fit and nor does the mechanism. Going to take a subtle application of the dremel. Had to take the wife away this weekend otherwise I'd still be in the garage messing around. Will be done by Tuesday when I return home.
That's the game Matt! Don't leave the horse go hungry or it'll jump the fence and get fed next door. The bike....that'll still be in the garage waiting for you next week m8.
Glad you are back all ok. There is always that moment when you try to start your bike on R+R/EOT, enjoy your time off
Stage 1 complete. R&G case protectors, K&N filter and Bayliss rep fairings fitted. Fairings needed a bit of persuasion, but for £150 I'm not complaining. They're only to save my originals anyway. Stage 2 is tomorrow- 4's, Hel lines and 14t sprocket. plus whatever else catches my eye at MR Matt
Well the m4's are looking good. However, the carbon seat cover in the photos is no longer there as I must not have pushed it home properly and it's now somewhere on the A303...... Bugger!! Matt
