  14. The thermometer (normally accurate) on the 999 was showing 27°c this morning and it wasn't even 9am. I seriously debated riding in today. I figured that the morning it would be fun and pleasant, but in the evening, the idea of climbing into the leathers when it will be around 35°c does not appeal. Oh well. Took the bike anyway once I'd had the brainwave of digging out my old Dainese boots which take seconds to put on and are a lot airier (and more rubbish) than my Alpinestars, which are more like getting into a skiboot. By the time you've got the things on, your temperature has already risen several degrees.

  17. relaxing on the sofa after a 13hr night shift and deciding if i can be bothered to turn off the upstairs shower that's been dripping and annoying me for the last hour.....think i'll have another coffee and then decide...

    Upside, new tent arrived.
