I Am A Nice Person But..

  1. I'd approach her and disarm her (not literally you understand) with the advice from your local authority and road traffic law.

As long as your silencer is working in an efficient manner, you're not using the vehicle on the road in such a manner as to cause excessive noise which could have been avoided by the exercise of reasonable care on your part (i guess this would include leaving it to warm up as mentioned above whilst you get kitted up) then you're doing your bit.

If shes still not happy then you can take comfort in holding the moral high ground in having made the effort.

  2. Absolutely, but what is occasional about every morning ?

  3. As a responsible neighbour maybe you should get a quieter bike for your daily commute so as not to regularly disturb your neighbours with noise nuisance ?

  4. offer her a go on the back.....perhaps the bug will bite her and then be rideout buddies and live in harmony.....:)

  5. In fact, you could offer to move away from the area all together and allow the neighbour even more seclusion and peace.

What gives people the right to move in next-door to people anyway? We all need our space!

  6. I wasn't aware that the Diavel was particularly loud.
The Multi sounds like a wet fart with the standard pipe.

  7. Tell her it will only get worse. Silly cow needs a slap.

  8. We all have the right to peaceful enjoyment of our property; unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, we all enjoy different things and sometimes those things come into conflict.

The example quoted by the OP does come under the remit of Environmental Health legislation who would undertake an investigation and come to a decision, which could go either way depending upon the circumstances and is subject to several layers of appeal, which if not adhered to could result in a prosecution.

This I know to be true ;)

  9. Is it April 1st again already?

If you read the first post you will know that this man is renting the house where he is staying and hopefully won't be there that long.

  11. If you can still hear her moaning in your ear, get it up on one wheel and see if she falls off. The resulting fall may deafen her...

  12. Depends how magnanimous you wish to be. You could adopt thhe 'fuck em' attitude or knock on the door and gift them some earplugs, while explaining thats your transport to work and its not that you are leaving at 0500 thru choice.

Or you could just say fuck em,.,

  13. So if I worked nights and was coming home at the same time or I had a v8 Range
    Is that more acceptable.
I could go on if it was a car nothing would have been mentioned

I know I'm now going to be here long but that's not the point

  14. It is the point.
Just let it go and ignore her. At the end of the day, it's upsetting her, not you, or it's only upsetting you if you choose to let it do so. Were it to be a "permanent" next door neighbour it might be a different matter.
Life is too short. There will always be unhappy moaners. That's just how life is.

  15. No. The issue is the noise nuisance, it's severity, duration and frequency.

Do you have any sympathy for the disturbance you cause at 5:30am, in what is a quiet neighbourhood (?), or is it all the fault of the "stuck up Tart" ?

  16. Sounds like she is making as much noise as the OP :)

  17. if the circumstances are true then deffo the latter.

  18. The OP has not said how long he will be there, will it be days, weeks or months ?

If it is days then I would agree with you, if was going to be months I would disagree with you.

  19. You mustn't discount the possibility that she may indeed be a genuine "stuck-up tart". :)

  20. I think she ain't getting enough off her hubby and needs an outlet.......;)
