848 exhausts

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Ozz, Sep 11, 2012.

  1. OK there are 3 types of 848:

    848
    848 Evo
    848 Evo Corse SE

Do slip on exhuasts for one fit all? Some sellers list the bikes separately, some the same, some only list the original 848......

Forums seem to suggest they fit all but anyone know??

  2. The hardware should fit all of them Ozz. The DP kits at least are different due to specific ECU's

  3. Cheers Nelly.

So if they are slip ons not needing ecu and filter then definitely no problem. It would be the ecu that is different....

  4. Yes mate. Pretty sure the evo's use the same header/manifold assembly. I can check for defo in morning.

  5. Yep he's right!

Theres only the map that's different on the DP ECU's......the rest fits even 1098 and 1198 ones.

  6. Merci buckets!

  7. Does this mean your getting an 848 then Ozz?

  8. Still a maybe.

The 749 is great if a bit more uncomfortable than previous Dukes I have had.

The 848 is a lot of dosh and given the miniscule mileage I did this year and the fact that outside its tipping down again I am at a crossroads of whether to jump in now or wait until next year when maybe the 849/899 has been announced and possibly there will be an even better deal on a new Corse 848 or used one or white one with red wheels.....

The thought of over £13k after adding Termis is driving me barmy. I am not rich or anywhere near it. My bike would be deposit, monthly payments would be manageable and balloon payment probably by credit card so do I really need one at this moment?

  9. negative negative negative..................

  10. Well summers gone so I guess it's sensible to wait, me I don't wait for nothing....lol

  11. Back to the overdraft again!
