Ummmm yes: Helmets | Motorcycle Accessories and parts | Fowlers of Bristol They are not usually known for their great prices, although have a lot of sale items on the floor they wont put online? HUGE shop! Its my fitting room, lol Riders Bristol is just down the road?
I am an Arai fan ,simply because nothing else fits and having tried numerous others I now stick with Arai. My Quantum Flag Italy fits like a glove.Absolutely love it.
That speaks volumes for wearing a full face! Open face helmet would have seen you with a big wide comedy face like Bod?
guys arai helmets really are the dogs had about 9 in the last 13yrs and the shells withstand more than just about any other brand. However if you have an old quantum and buy one from the tinterweb they do slightly change the shell design so you might end up having to get a different range arai to get the same fit. it seems they tend to reduce the opening size, possibly for noise reduction. i used to fit quantums perfectly until about the 'j' when i had to change to the chaser.
"It's Scary AL...!" Ah, so word has got out has it? That was an Arai Giga.......I used it for the first time since 1993, three years ago when I went to pick up the Ducati (no I didn't, I was in the car when I went...I wore it when I came back on the bike...).....the inner foam lining had disintegrated leaving me with a rubbery dusty head..... ....that's for the bin, I thought.......but first, I set it down on the grass and whacked it three times on the crown with an axe.......hard. Hardly marked it.....so I cut it in half with a saw......No delamination inside, no compressed impact foam lining......Just goes to show how tough they are. I'm currently using my 18 year old Carbon Fibre / Kevlar AGV Quasar.....much better helmet than the thermoplastic one I bought three years ago. But I must get another......and because of sometimes wanting to wear glasses (which are prone to breaking as I stuff them inside....did another pair this weekend), I'm thinking of a flip front......What are Cabergs like? AL.
Since becoming a born again biker I've only found Arai helmets to fit and allow me to get my glasses on. I'm on my fourth one at the moment good helmets but dam pricey though
Not keen on the quality of the Cabergs... The Shoei's are good - but heavy! The new HJC flip is a lot lighter.
Worth checking sharp ratings... SHARP Helmets - THE HELMET SAFETY SCHEME All the Carbergs don't have 5 * , however some do
I nearly did, not that I'm a huge VR fan, just thought it was funny. I decided it was prob funny now, but in a year or so I'd be thinking why the hell did I buy this daft thing!
