    • Fabian Cancellara who was the leader finished the the stage with his back broken in two places. He has only just returned after breaking his back three months ago. Another three riders have had to abandon with broken bones. My wife feels more relaxed when I go out on the multi than on my road bike I can see why now :Blackeye:

  4. It was a beast of a crash, unfortunately I think it's the end of Cancellaras race, he finished 11 minutes down. Early days but it's good to see Froome in the yellow jersey again.

  5. i must admit i dont get road cycling, why would you want to go that fast and have to pedal with so little protection ?? when you can jump on a motor bike with more protection and have more fun (just in my opinion of corse). :)

Delve a little bit deeper. Road racing is an individual sport conducted by teams, there are competitions within the competition and politics within the peloton, which all adds up to a great spectacle. ;)

  7. it is all relative of course,, coming off at 80 - 100 with leathers or 20 without,, takes your choice .

  8. That would be a very difficult choice.

I once had a bit of a shimmy descending Kirkstone Pass at 52 mph wearing nothing but lycra, it was a very sobering moment.

  9. That Chad Reed crash is mental. Knocked out cold and he gets back on straight into a big jump haha!

  10. incredible,,, tbh , i have felt like that a few times coming off my mountain bike !!!

  11. yip, wearing lycra can do that to you

  14. I do both. I get an instant buzz from the motorbike while cycling gives me a longer lasting one. The feeling after a long day in the saddle & some challenging climbs is priceless. Prevents me from eating an average motorbikers diet too ( the worst I've come across with the exception of maybe Darts..)
