Thanks Steve, I did the Google Translation but still does not work correctly, will not move on from the paypal pay page to let me pay.
R&G website now lists the centre crash bungs for the 2015 DVT (available at £74.99 + vat): http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Ducati/Multistrada_1200S/2015.aspx Unfortunately they seem to have jumped the gun a bit, as this part is not actually ready yet. They have made a prototype part (using Snells' demonstrator as a mule), but the product for sale is in course of manufacturing at the moment. May be ready next week, apparently.
How is the noise now For me the standard screen is bad and the Touring screen worse I was thinking to cut down my touring screen to short like this.
Took it for a quick spin n its like my previous PP n works a treat for me. Arai Tour lid n 6ft 2in tall n no buffeting like the std screen. Will give a good run out at the weekend
Thanks Please post findings ASAP I am 5'7" but only 26.5" inside leg - so would be 6' if my legs had grown - so a little shorter than you from seat up I have Arai X4 Ducati lid also. THANKS
I just fitted a short tinted screen from MRA to my DVT. Noise is reduced significantly so it's just a smooth airflow rather than the raucous roaring from the standard screen. Obviously there's more wind on the shoulders and helmet, but it's not buffety and no problem up to 90mph. At 70mph it's lovely. It's this screen: Catalog- MRA Shop On the downside, the finish of the cut edges of the screen is pretty rough and ready, and the screen curvature doesn't match the positioning of the mounting holes - the screen doesn't curve enough - so as you tighten the bolts you are bending the screen into shape. I'd expect better.
Be interested to know how you get on with the shorter screen , just been round Scotland on a 13 gt , the bike was superb but at 6.2 the touring screen did nothing but give me a headache even with ear plugs in with the wind noise .Don't mind abit of wind against me , was going to take the screen off to see if it was the tall screen at fault then maybe go with a short sports screen like the pp.
Went out for a good run out n the carbon screen definitely works for me. 6ft 2in, arai tour lid, seat in high position. Nice clean air. Did various speeds on different types of road n no buffeting or head wobble. Only issue is increased bug kill on visor but I can live with that.
Hi Jim , is that screen a ducati one ?do they do them for the 2013 model, looks like it could be the answer , thanks for the update .
OK - a further update on the MRA short screen after a longer A3/A31 fast dual carriageway trip yesterday. Airflow is much smoother. In the low screen position it is very smooth. In the upper screen position there is a bit of unevenness - not enough to be called buffeting. Roaring noise is gone, but replaced by smoother airflow noise over my helmet if that makes sense. If you've ridden a naked bike, it's like that. In the low position, there is wind blast on upper arms upwards, obviously increases with speed. Were I to have done 90mph it would have been comfortable enough. In the high position, the wind blast moves up to the top of the shoulders and above. Bike looks good with the screen in the upper position, and a bit stumpy with the screen in the lower position. Key point - I'll be keeping the screen on the bike. May revert to the original in the winter.
