I took one for a test ride last week, stunningly fast, brilliant but found it very vibby through the pegs and handle bar Hows yours
I rode one last year but bought a new Tuono instead. Quick bike but lacked character for me. Having said that Aprilia are the pits when it comes to customer service and I'm going to have another go on an S1000R this coming weekend to see if my previous impressions stick.
Yep If you all send a £fiver I will send out club discount vouchers...... Love the bike. Bit vibey around 4-5k, nothing much, in fact don't even think about it after a few miles. Once you start to gel with this bike it wont be doing much around that rev range anyway Fit and finish streets ahead of the Duke, stainless fasteners and a non rust exhaust ffs...imagine that! No more rounded heads just from looking at the bolts lol. 2k and the chain doesn't look recycled Italian scrap metal. Not being bitter, the Duke was/is amazing, just had sportbike itch to scratch and this one ticked all the boxes. Tuono v4, tried one. Thought the suspension was too hard for UK roads. 30mpg on test ride was a joke. Character, yep, s1000r inline 4 character...you fucking bet, wheelies in 4th and 5th over crests on the throttle. Smiles per mile, this bike is a winner.
Yep I liked it a lot but the 15 plate R1 is staying for now The 1098s is going so will be ducati less for first time in 7 years
Zed 1000 once Chris at CJS has had a go at it....mine puts out about 160bhp now - 3rd go on it this morning to work after collecting it....opened it up....I cant describe the violence of the acceleration....absolutely unbelievable...mine lifts off the throttle in 1st 2nd and third and goes light in 4th.
