We get Mon and Tues off for crazy season and hoped to slip off a little earlier. BUT someone booked me for a 4oclock meeting Estate Agent told me to cut the grass 'because it looks bad for viewers'. It's only bloody grass
The city added LED lights on the bridge near my house for the Pan Am games...so I figured that I would stop & take a few pics after work...
I walked up to reception in the hotel I was staying in this afternoon and said, "Sorry, but I forgot what room I'm in ?" "No problem, Sir - this is the lobby."
Followed @Clare Scott 's bum up the A1 today for 15 mins, then her mate nearly got lost - chicks on bikes nowadays, eh? Full leathers in the baking sun, not a mini skirt nor thigh boots in sight sort yer sen out girls
been out today trying to get Che some decent leathers,,,,,,,,,,, maybe just get her a mini skirt instead !!
Left the office early to go for a run out with my friend Dangerous Jim. He was on his Triumph Rocket as his MV F4 is broke, and all his other bikes including a 996 are all SORNed. I was on my Scrambler. We took a very scenic yet brisk route to Hollingworth Lake, which was beautiful in the sunshine. Had something to eat and drink and a great chat with Jim about nothing in particular. Then we went our separate ways and I took a long route back via Ripponden, Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, Brighouse and Huddersfield. The scrambler really is a great bike for riding briskly and taking in the beautiful scenery that West Yorkshire and Lancashire has to offer.
Days are currently running as follows: Cup of tea, out on road bike for an hour or two before it gets too hot, Pilates (We are a bit addicted), brunch, sundeck, pool, dinner, bar. I am on my fifth book (a Grisham) and it is our fifth full day here. Absolute chill out holiday - brilliant!
Been working at gatwick airport all day and will be tomorrow too. Got home for about 5:30 this aft, quick shower then drove down to box hill where I met up with vince. Cupidstunt. Just wish I'd have been on the bike instead of the works van!
I was in the pub tonight with the Mrs and after a few pints, I said, ''I love you.'' She said, ''Is that you or the beer talking?'' I replied, ''It's me... talking to the beer''
Yeh, you need to go to a proper bike meet like Squires, it has the advantage of being in the right direction too
I am very much hoping this weekend to get the poor old neglected bike out of the garage and into the newly constructed shed. This will not only give me something to tinker with, but provide me with a bit more space in the garage.
