Belt Tension Gauge

  1. can anyone advise me on the options for a belt tension gauge? which one is recommended to go for?

  2. everyone goes on the frequency now, I use my smart phone, with a 'strings' app.
    Belts havent fallen off yet.

  5. I have bought a special microphone for my iPhone, so I can get it in nice and tight to the belt, can't report on it yet though, as I haven't used it yet.

  6. 5mm and 6mm Allen key Go/No-Go gauges.

    That works ok on a desmodue,
    Haven't heard of anyone doing it on a desmoquattro though.

  8. Thats exactly what I used last (2013) when I changed my belts. I used the "6mm allen key" and the "twisting belt" methods also just as a double/triple check.

  9. It is common to use this technique on desmoquattro...used it on 916/888.
    Backed up with a Facom gauge and the "wiggle-wiggle" technique.
    All work fine.
