Due to a recent home move my Motorbike store/safe is no longer required. I thought I'd mention it here prior to sticking it on eBay and Gumtree for sale. Motorcycle MK Bike Store - Motorbike Storage - MK Containers Cost £1,199 when new! I'm looking for £350 *collection only (South Wales) Can be broken down into smaller parts with notice. Advised collection with a flat bed truck to save on rebuild time. Constructed from heavy duty galvanised steel with up and over door with no external hinges. 10mm thick locking bars with secure ground fixing points. Three external locking points high security, anti-drill and anti-saw padlocks included. (Also has bar that goes through the rear wheel which is secured with the same type anti-saw lock also included) Ramp for easy of access etc.. It has housed several bikes over the past 3 years, CBR600F, ZX6R, Ducati 1098. I'm sure would work for most sports bikes / tourers. Can be secured to both hard standing (tray design which bolts to ground) or grass. Weatherproof design ensures a dry and clean bike. Corrosion and maintenance free galvanised finish. Space to store oil, parts and accessories and fully ventilated to prevent condensation. Classed as a concrete garage with insurance companies! *Photo's upon request
Unfortunately this is the only problem, it's far to heavy to send anywhere without substantial frieght costs :-/ It would be well worth a trip to fetch it in a long wheel base transit with it broken into smaller sections. Total peace of mind from a securtiy point of view and it also keeps the bike in a dry but aired condition, if I had room I'd keep it. It's a wicked bit of kit.
Bit cheeky - I have one that I was thinking of selling. Mine has been dismantled and I currently in storage in Leeds - Bit closer to York. Mine is slightly different Secure-A-Bike with a roll out for the bike and was about double the cost.
It may have been a little more tactful to PM to the person posting on my thread lol Or even a new thread selling yours? No worries, it's on Gumtree etc.. now I'm sure it won't hang about for very long at that sort of money. Good luck on selling yours, the sliding tray type safe/stores are a cool bit of kit, although personally I'm not sure that double the cost is justified. According to the Secure-a-bike site the racer safe is actually a scary £1,885. Which granted is more expensive than the MK safe I'm selling, £686 more expensive in fact, but far from double the cost. For all its greatness (not being sarcastic) the Secure-a-bike safe has hindges which could be cut through.
Not at all, just figured it was a bit naughty of you to hijack the thread given the amount of time I had taken to list my safe for sale, you hadn't done any work just used my thread as a vehicle to sell yours. Thats probably how forums work, I wasn't looking to fall out or argue etc...
The unit has been disassembled and is in storage. Though I put all the bolts etc together and from memory the original instructions. I will make an effort to find these and then post the links. There are so many different types and I recall purchasing a larger one with room to store helmet leathers tools and some spares. That is what was making me laugh when others we guestimating the original cost.
