Radiator leaking at bracket , on smoking to ducati dealer it turns out it was/is a common fault on the 1098 Just wondering how many owners have had this issue, luckily they will replace/fix as a goodwill gesture due to warranty having expired Its in the shop now can't wait to get her back
They are common on the 848. Hadn't heard of a 1098 go before though. Suppose they're all the same. Glad they sorted it for you.
Got a coolant leak on my MtS 2013, cannot,see where it starts from,but getting worse. Going in next week as under warranty , also to look at spongy front brakes,left fork leg paint spoiled and the throttle cable recall. Love it to bits.

Hi, I have a leaking radiator on my 1098. I see it's common but my bikes out of warranty and a new rad is £650! However there are some aftermarket ones on eBay for £90 which I am tempted to go for, just wondered if anyone had installed one of these or had any info on if they are any good or not!?
Wasn't this a recall? I'm sure someone on here (one of the R big boys) bought a cheap ebay rad. @Mary Hinge
Err yeah, sure did buy a Chinese made cheapo. The looks and quality seem fine. An engine builder I know has fitted about 8 of them and said so far so good. I didn't fit mine. I'll bubble wrap it and take it to foreign T/D's. Ducati Lincoln (good lads) did me a recon exchange. Sorted.
