  7. I had an sc1000s before the Mh and I loved riding it for a couple of years, and the sound from those pipes.I found eventually though that the riding position was too extreme for me, and I sold it.
I had been looking for an Mh for a year or so after I saw one parked up at Brightona one year.Eventually I saw this one for sale in Cumbria.after a few phone calls to the owner and the receipt of more detailed pictures I bought it.I hired a l.w Transit and with Mrs Mervyn made the trip up over a weekend to get it.
The owner had booked us in to a local b and b,they in turn had booked us in to the local pub for dinner,so off we went. Was a long way to go but when I clapped eyes on the bike in the flesh,I was over the moon.It had only done about 250 miles initially and had then been dry stored.
When we got back home I had it thoroughly serviced and Mot'd and then I rode it.Tis a lovely bike to ride and listen to,the only criticism I have is that when coming to a stop I find the pegs seem to get in the way of my feet when I go to put feet down.As I say,no good round town, but on a fast B road it is lovely.
Niceair cooled engine with a dry clutch with plenty enough oomph for ear to ear grin.I have had it for about 5 or 6 years and still find its design, construction and finish fascinating.
All in all a bike to polish, look at,but above all ride.:upyeah:

  8. im a fan now of the ducati air cooled engine and find myself dreaming of building the perfect lightweight air cooled bike......new blue ? when the mh came out I drooled and lusted after them. I now have a bike that I could leave in my will instead of changing every few years,i will in a couple years start thinking of another bike but I will never sell my sc, prob much the same as yourself and the mh..........hope you get to ride her soon mervyn......keep dreaming of that moment.

  13. The bike is well worth looking at close up as well. The design, attention to detail, and the quality is up with the best. The swing arm alone is a work of art in itself.
