Just got the bike MOT this morning. Leaking fork seal, LED lights, full race exhaust, not a problem. Well, I did have to move the bike very close to the light machine for the light to register. But it did show a pattern so all's good. Just an advisory for the fork seal.
official, garage owners are thick as shit and twice as greedy. made a wee boob yesterday. got a call from a customer after she heard a rattle from her car 60mls after i (one of the lads)had replaced the timing belt on her vehicle. she was just out side acharicle on strontian (sound familiar?) shiel garrageso i asked her to nip in to the local garage to check it out and bill me for whatever it takes. 20mins later i get a call, they cant fix it till Tuesday and she needs to get back to oban they want cash up front £240+vat which i pay over the phone to deliver back to oban her brake down cover only allowed car to be taken to nearest garage (funnily enough they have the time for a mechanic to drive the loader straight away) i hang back and fix it in two minutes loos bolts on water pump pulley blatently obvious and my fault for putting the lads under so much pressure last few weeks. been mega busy and was bound to happen sooner or later. thieving rotten bastids. v.foolish also cos i is taking it all the way. cu.ts shiel garage acharicle i am coming to get you.
Got out for a bit of a blat this morning, more to try out the state of my middle finger than a serious ride. Inevitably found my way out to MRs for a coffee and a catch up and almost immediately regretted it. Sitting in the showroom is an immaculate 04 carbon 749R with 1200 miles on the clock and I missed it by hours - bugger. On the up side the finger is sore but useable. Andy
Just put the battery on my bike and started her up.....she lives,oooooh and I forgot how noisy she is just needs an MOT and I'll be back on the road.....missed her too much already!!
Collected and paid(ouch)for Desmo service on the MTS. And one cylinder has a very low compression reading!
