this thing is fkn incredible man,, so planted at speed,, feels as stable at 130 as it is at 30 !!,, floored it ( is that a car term ) coming out of a roundabout,, shit near spat me off the back !!!
dont think so . a poss issue i have found is that it is a bit of an effort to get full throttle with one hand position ( prob good thing !! ) and dont think i have managed full throttle yet,,, there is some modification with the R1 throttle grip,, need to explore that one.
yip read about that mod. i got used to it and like it now. i see it as an early form of sport and touring mode depending on where you grip it.:smile:

The R1 tube is an improvement. It quickens the throttle just enough. I found it also eliminated any free play, so throttle response from zero is absolutely immediate. Drop the gearing as well and things start to get exciting. I was rather afraid of the 999 at first but then got used to the more than doubled power over the 750 SS I had before (straight through can and pc3 give a dyno readout of 130 r/w bop). Dropping the gearing took me almost back to square one but I'm now used to that too. Such a blast ...
