Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Brent, 33 and an avid ducati guy. Been on ducati.ms for years and just found this one recently. I am from Wahoo, nebraska. Pretty much in the center of the U.S. Ive had 2 ducati's. Both 996r's. Bought the first one at 24 and sold it shortly after. Bought another one back in 2011. Both were showroom bikes (never ridden sadly), first one had 8 miles on it and the second one had 2 miles on it. The second one has been a 5 year transformation. Every RS part I could get my hands on has been installed. I fell in love with these bikes while watching WSBK, Bostrom and Bayliss. Since then, I always wanted a street "998RS" Its about as close as Ill get, without buying an actuall RS...or going bankrupt! Anyways, Just wanted to say hello, share a few pick and say Im looking forward to contributing to this great site. Ill post an update/build thread over the next few days in the 998 section. Thanks again Brent
hello smack dab,, went throo nebraska one time,, from Kansas city to Rapid city,, cant remember where exactly,, but it was great,, flat and straight,, so easy , but cold at night when sleeping in a volvo 144ss. fond memories
Thats great,What year was the 144? Ive been wanting a 122 wagon for a while now. Sadly not a lot of curves around here.
god knows mate,, that was 1982 and the car was old even then,, got it for nothing when working in Odessa Texas and had to rebuild the engine,, but it did me for 2 years and then swapped it for a surf board in S CalifornIA !!
