That's just Aprilia being terrible! But jokes aside: Don't buy an Aprilia - great bikes but if something goes wrong then you are on your own. No jokes being made here.
New 899 in September. Chap wouldn't say if brand new or updated but they only have shop floor stock now. He also wouldn't confirm if they were going to rebrand it the 1299B(udget). Nor if the rumours of a makeup compartment for us ladies who can't handle a 1299 were true.
949 would make sense to me with either bigger bore or longer stroke (if its possible??), with fairings from 1299. Maybe same dash & electrics, although the 1299 Base Dash might make sense also. At the end they can't race it apart from in selected one make series so why not give it a bit more umph for the ever growing track day market. 160HP at crank would be just right for those not wanting the full 200HP bike. My dealer reckons a V4 litre bike is the only place they can go in future for the big bikes
How about a 899XL for the larger rider. Probably an evo job with engine and chassis tweeks, maybe basic electronic package, 1299 fairing and priced about the same. The 899 sold well so they'll keep the formula but give existing owners and pcp buyers an excuse to px.
Why do I have a Spanish flag? Does it know where I am? That's more impressive than the panigirly being made less girly
Mine tends to have a Norwegian flag but that's because I'm usually on from work and they run it through the servers in Norway. Haha.
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Maybe not though, wouldn't that make the 899 a fairly desirable one year run of bikes? [emoji39]
Not from what Domenicali was saying in his recent interview in the UK press. More likely to be a 1100cc it would seem.
